AAA roadside assistance is a ****. Needed them Sunday, April 28, 2024 at about 8 pm. Locked out of car. They kept saying they couldn't find anyone to come, but insisted they would keep looking. They said it could be many hours waiting, but they would not pre-authorize the reimbursement for hiring someone else to come. They said that if you do hire someone else to handle the issue, you can try your luck, like in Las Vegas, by submitting a claim for the cost - and you may or may not get reimbursement - even though they can’t find anyone to help. We found a handyman to do it, after waiting a long time. Same no-show happened the last time we called for help (flat tire) a few years ago. Same excuses from them. AAA needs to be investigated for fraud. Have heard this is common with them. Not providing the roadside assistance appears to be their business model.
