On August 27, 2021 **************/********************* cashed a cheque from me for $6000 for an above ground pool and accompanying equipment. They were to install it as soon as possible for the invoice amounts outlined in Attachment 1. A pool permit was required but this was delayed by **************. One was issued on July 21, 2022 but still, work on the pool did not commence. Despite the fact that I had been assured I was first on the list yet I could not get any movement from ************** to construct my pool. I became very concerned that a pool did not exist and asked to see it but was told there was no one at the facility it was at. On Aug 10, 2022 I spoke to ********************* indicating that all of the components of the pool would be delivered to me as soon as possible, and that pool installation would begin Aug 11, 2022 and be completed by Aug 12th. On Aug11, 2022 the installation crew began erecting some parts of the pool but I was told they had to leave to go look at the *** because "they didn't really know how the put the pool together". That was the point at which I realized I had to end this business relationship. On Aug 12, 2022 I asked the install crew to leave all components of my pool on the lawn and to cease work. I was greeted by a barrage of hateful verbal abuse. All components were not there, It has been a difficult process to get most back from *******************. A solar blanket is the only thing outstanding.I hired another contractor with 30 years experience in pool installation to continue the work. He has had to re-do the little that was done completely. There is virtually nothing that was done correctly. He identified two very serious departures from the manufacturer's installation requirements which would have led the supports to sink and lean when the pool was filled. In addition "post holes" were improperly dug with the wrong machinery, and not lined up with one another. This has required changing the pool plan.Business response
