On 11/29/2022 I came into an agreement for installation of impact windows and patio impact enclosure at my condo. I gave a deposit of $8250. 00 . The agreement was made with *************** who works and has merged business with Merrigan Building Group The agreement was made with invoice # ***** dated 11/29/2022 that quoted the work to be done with an erroneous city code provided by ***. He told me that I needed to put a fire wall in my balcony. But I started to noticed that my neighbors did not have a fire wall so I asked him to research it. At this point he already had my deposit. He took over a month to get back to me and said he had the wrong code and there was no need for a fire wall. I asked him to correct the invoice quote with the right code and I also told him that now that we don't need a fire wall the green color tinted impact windows don't work to provide the privacy I want, I said I want color light gray. He did not correct the invoice and kept pushing for me to use the color green since he had leftovers from a previous cancelled job. I said I want the light gray color. I also said I want the work done before the hurricane seasons starts. Six months has passed and he continues to give me the rounds about. Continues to push the color green windows on me and keeps telling me that he needs to order the light gray color. He had not even filled the permit with the county nor filled the required application with my HOA. He is verbally abusive when I ask him about the status of my work. The hurricane season is upon us and he has not done the work nor filled any permits. He was misleading me and possible scamming me. He was disrespecting me. I told him I want my deposit back. I have copy of text messages and emails that I sent him within the last six months. I also found out that he has done the same to other people by taking deposits and not completing the work. He is hostile and rude towards me I cannot continue to deal with him. I am scared of him.
