      We had about 20% of our lawn sodded by this company. We were told there was a one year guarantee. After 3 months, the lawn was not attaching and it was dying. We called the owner out and he blamed it on our mowing company. However, the other lawn that had not been replaced showed no sign of distress due to our mowing company. Now at 11 and 12 months, the yard is a disaster with bare patches, weeds and the squares of sod are still visible. Additionally, they used 2 different lots of sod and you can see the difference from one section to the next. I have called several times to have the owner come back to look at it but no return calls after leaving messages. We paid $3400 for this small portion of our yard to be sodded. It is the worst sod job I have ever seen.

      On June 8,2022 I issued my check number 964 to better lawns and landscapes in the amount of $1000.00 for landscapes services. I was told by the owner "Trevor" it would start in 2 weeks and be completed in 2 days. On or about july 13th I called and was informed his men would be there the next day. two days later when they had still not arrived I called Trevor and cancelled the job due to none performance and requested a refund of my deposit. As of this complaint I have still not received a refund.

      Contracted with Better Lawns & Landscapes to do hardscape landscaping and plantings. Initially the job looked good. However after a few rains it was discovered that the grade in one of the planting beds was low next to the house and allowing water to seep into the crawl space. It was also evident there had been no waterproofing applied to the crawl space wall to prevent water infiltration. Also foundation vents have been partially covered or totally blocked. There is also one complete planting bed that the micro irrigation heads were never installed in. Also have called about the dead or dying plants. Trevor did send his crew out but they did not have anything to repair problems.. Same issues with returned calls as the other complaints. I really have concerns about these issues, because a wet crawl space leads to a lot of other problems I would give these people a 1 star rating because the wall work is good.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/05) */ Per our contract and agreement the waterproofing application was not included in the scope of work nor was the irrigation per the island the customer is referring to . When we left the job the vents were left open and not covered up by and kind of material . I spoke to the customer agreed to put in new plants which I did I advised him i would have my guys as a courtesy to assess the situation and also said I would add some fill dirt and grade that area again as a courtesy. I expect the work to be done to acceptable standards which would include proper grades and water protection. The part about the vents is a total falsehood. When I questioned Trevor about this he commented to me that he had checked and it was acceptable to cover up one half of the vents. Also the micro irrigation was not a limited scope item. I stand by my previous statements. We out communication from the customer it is hard to read the mind. We have spent several additional visits to address the issues of the customer.
