In June of 2022 I went to Amazing Lash Studio in Wesley Chapel to have lash extensions. While I was there, a girl behind the counter advised me of their membership. It was my understanding that with a membership comes the perk of getting your lash refills done twice per month for only $119.99. This is a fabulous deal, or so I thought. Nothing was mentioned about upcharges for classic versus hybrid or volume lashes. That was why I thought it was a great deal. Going forward to July, I had gone 3 times and had seen 3 different stylists because my lashes were not staying on for more than a week. At my last visit (visit #4) on 7/25/22, I was told that there was a $25 upcharge for the hybrid lashes that the stylist had put on that date. Note, that the prior visits before that, I did not get charged anything for the same type of lashes. I paid the $25 and was not happy that I had not been informed of this upcharge but figured I would just do classic lashes on my next visit to avoid the upcharge. Less than 1 week after my last visit, my lashes were falling out again. I finally figured out it must be the quality of their product and decided to cancel my membership. I had been charged $119.99 on 7/25/22. Half of that was put toward my refill on that date so I still had half remaining. I was advised that I needed to email the studio manager to obtain a refund. I emailed the studio manager and was told that the studio does not issue refunds but that I can come back for a refill anytime! Why would I go back for a product that does not work? How can they so easily withdraw money from my account monthly but not issue a refund of that money if a service or product is not given in return? I even explained that I would happily take a merchandise credit instead of a refund and I could buy lash serum or something. However, the studio manager was not willing to provide a merchandise credit or a refund. I think this is stealing or at the least, it is fraud or misrepresentation.
