My wife ******* *****) signed up last week and went to 1 workout. After the workout she didn't feel well and we learned she was pregnant and the doctor told her not to start a new workout regime right now, for obvious reasons. We can get a letter from her doctor if needed. We paid $179 for the first month. When my wife called the location at *********************************************** they told her they could defer her membership for $15 per month until she was able to resume. Since it will be about 15 months before she can resume (have the baby, stay home with baby until it is big enough to leave), this would amount to paying $225 plus the $179 that was already paid and not receiving any services or value in return. Essentially $404 to go to 1 workout. Basically, it feels like we are expected to just give a bunch of money to Orange Theory as a penalty for getting pregnant. Alternatively, they said there is a 30-day cancelation policy and if we cancel now they would take another $179 from us next month (in exchange for no services being performed) and then it would be canceled. So this option is essentially $358 for 1 class and Orange Theory would just keep the rest and not perform any services. I'm sure you would understand my frustration if someone treated your family this way. Not just that, but why in the world would my wife ever go back to Orange Theory if this is how they treat women who get pregnant? They could have had a life-long customer but decided to screw people for a few hundred bucks instead of treating people right. I am happy to pay for any services actually performed and I am not trying to get out of paying for the 1 class that my wife showed up to but com'on... don't screw us because she didn't know she was pregnant and signed a contract less than a week ago before she was aware of her condition. I am hoping we can come to a reasonable resolution in this matter. We would like to pay for the class she went to but not for classes she can't go to.
