    I bought a used vehicle from Mercedes-Benz of Wesley Chapel near the end of May 2024 and the buying experience was just fine. Everyone was very friendly. One issue I had was the game they play with interest rates and purchasing their AutoNation (who owns the dealership) extended warrantee. I was told by the finance person that my credit was 780+, but my interest rate was around 9%. The rates at the time for used cars were around 7% for good credit. I was told my rate would be around 9% and there was nothing they could do to get it lower. I was then offered different warrantee packages and declined them. The finance person punched in some numbers and said he was going to do me a favor and 'buy down' my rate if I buy the warrantee. This would give me the warrantee and not really change my payment from when the rate was 9%. He was able to 'buy down' my rate using a different bank and the rate went to 6.9%. So, my payment stays the same and they get around $4800 by selling me the warrantee and 'buying down' my rate to what the rate should have been all along. Then 2-3 weeks ago I noticed the driver's side visor was broken when I bought the vehicle. Someone had made it look like it was working correctly, but when I went to pull the visor to the side the pin that holds the visor pulled out of the visor. It was already damaged and was made to look like it worked and I had not noticed it when I purchased. I contacted my salesperson and I sent him a video of the issue. He passed it on to management and they said there was nothing they were going to do about it because I did not bring it to their attention within 5 days of the purchase. I suppose they are under no obligation to help me, but they could have just fixed this for minimal cost of a sun visor and kept a happy customer. I'm not the only one the has an issue with their service practices from what it looks like from reviews. If you buy from them just be prepared for finance games and bad service.
