Originally hired this company for termite removal. The original bill was $1,200 which was paid in full. All of a sudden and almost a year later, I received an invoice for $303.00 without any services being rendered. Nowhere within the invoice does it explain any of the terms and it states that the invoice is due upon receipt. This is a fake invoice, and the intent of the business is to intentionally deceive and misguide the consumer into paying for something without anything being provided. The invoice appears as if services have already taken place, which was for termite bating station renewal. When trying to discuss this with the Office Manager, she rudely hung up the phone and no one else is willing to explain this deceitful practice.

Customer called in and spoke to one of the office staff members asking for the personal  and contact information for owners and would not disclose the nature of his call.  Our staff are not authorized to provide such information.  After being met with aggressive persistence from the customer the staff member transferred the call to me.  I am the office manager.  I inquired with ******************** on how I could be of assistance.  He immediately began aggressively stating that we had sent him an invoice in which no work had been performed.
The customer's only service with us is for a Sentricon Termite Baiting System.  The system requires annual maintenance and renewal.  The renewal is essentially a lease.  We invoice the renewal prior to performing the annual maintenance.  This practice is standard, as the maintenance exhaust time and material to execute.  If the customer decides to forego paying the renewal there is no additional penalty but the system must be removed in accordance to the service agreement signed by the customer prior to installation and also our agreement with ******* as a certified Sentricon provider.     Sentricon is proprietary property of Corteva. All component of the Sentricon system are and will continue to be property of Corteva.  The consumer nor Florida Environmental have ownership of these components.    see item 12. in the attached service agreement signed by ********************.
I kindly explained all of this to ********************, even then, he insisted that we were goading him into paying this "fake" invoice and no where on the invoice did it state it was for a renewal or that the invoice would be voided if no payment was received.  I explained to him that I could void the invoice immediately and he would not be liable for any further charges but the system would be scheduled for removal.  He asked for that in writing which I did provide via email that the invoice in question had been voided per his request.   This did not satisfy him, he continued to be argumentative and aggressive.  There was no reasonable solution or resolution that I could offer to satisfy the customer.  He threatened to report our business to the *** and stated we were inciting emotional distress.   For the safety of my staff, we will not be scheduling a removal of the system.  This man is volatile and irrational.

I used this company for lawn ornamental spraying and they let my gardenias die. I had to bring it to their attention that they were dead so they were obviously not doing their job. To replace the gardenias, it cost me over $700. The manager admitted fault at the time but would not refund me for the services they did not render. The invoice is ~$168 which doesn't begin to cover the replacement costs. It was their job to keep the ornamentals alive and they didn't do their job. I am refusing to pay this invoice and they keep calling and are threatening to send the invoice to collections.

We would like to apologize that your experience with our company fell short of your expectations.  Upon further review of your complaint and our records within your account, I would like to address the whole of the problem.  While our lawn and ornamental service treats issues such as weeds, damaging insects and disease; the service is not able to combat issues that our beyond our control.  Three vital components of a healthy plant are adequate sun, soil and water.  All of which are factors that are beyond our scope of work and control.  Upon our property inspection, our supervisor noted that your home did not have any gutters.  Thus allowing for the frequent heavy rain falls that are prominent in our region to severely over water your ornamental plant materials.  Some areas were so stressed from the oversaturation and trauma of heavy rainfall that the plants themselves had begun to very obviously grow away from the rooted area.  I would like the chance to discuss this matter further with you and come to a resolution.  Please feel free to contact me, I may be reached at ************.

      Joey Aldaco

I am rejecting this response because:

The gardenias were alive and thriving in the same location every season since I bought the house 5 years ago. I have had the same landscaper maintaining the soil as well. Even if there was more rainfall than usual, or a discrepancy in the health of the soil, your team should have brought this to my attention instead of letting them die especially since your team was supposed to be treating them each month. I brought this issue to your attention and it was already too late. Your manager said he could come have someone out to try to treat the problem still so I am not sure why he would recommend that if it was indeed the soil and water causing the problem. For this trouble and the cost of removing the dead gardenia and the cost of planting new replacement plants, the very least you all can do is a billing adjustment on the outstanding invoice.

      Sincerely,
