The owner/breeder will take 100 dollars to put you on a wait list, cleverly send you emails about the progress of the litter of the dogs she is breeding. You have no say on what dog or when you can get them. I asked to visit her dogs when I was in town, and she became lets say flaky about it, vague, when I asked more objectively if I could see the dogs she asked to be respectful of her time. Asked for my money back, and didnt even get the courtesy of a reply. I think the money is not reimbursed per her email communication. What concerns me is taking money for a waitlist, but declining to accept visits. Last thing I would want is to get a dog thats bread in poor conditions, no idea how its done there because it is impossible to visit. I honestly dont care about the money, if I ever get it back Ill donate to a ***************** charity; just beware of this breeder.

      Ocean Blue Danes Response

This person has left a negative review because I was unable to accommodate his request to visit on short notice due to prior obligations. He asked to come to my home on a Monday and I responded that I could accommodate him around 5-6pm once I was home from work that day. He then asked to come over the weekend instead and unfortunately, I was not available despite my attempts to rearrange my schedule. It is important to note that there were no existing puppies to visit, and I do not run a commercial breeding operation. I breed 1 or 2 litters a year in my home, not in a commercial breeding facility.

******* requested to join my waiting list in April 2024 for a FUTURE litter that did not yet exist; no breeding had even yet transpired. Visits are welcome and highly encouraged once a litter is born and there are babies to see. This is also an opportune time to see my home and the environment the babies are raised in. The majority of people who purchase a puppy from me do come and visit the litter, sometimes even more than once. There is also a puppy party for each litter that is open to the public, in addition to puppy buyers, which is a great opportunity for puppy socialization.

Puppy buyers absolutely have every say in what puppy they purchase and when. Once a litter is born, puppy buyers are permitted to place a deposit on a puppy in the litter if the timing for that particular litter works out for them. If it does not, they have the option to remain on the waiting list for the next litter. Individual selections take place between 6-7 weeks of age once puppy buyers have had a chance to visit the litter and meet the puppies. If at that time, there is not a suitable puppy for the puppy buyer, they are under no obligation to proceed and are welcome to wait for the next litter. No puppy buyer is ever required to purchase a puppy without ample opportunity to visit the litter and the environment they are raised in.

In June 2024, ******* requested to be removed from my waiting list because I was unable to accommodate the above-mentioned request to visit. As he states himself, he was aware that the wait list fee was non-refundable, as it is meant to cover my time and effort in vetting his application for a puppy. All of this information was clearly communicated in writing.
