if I could give this room zero stars I would. They changed their name from Ramada Inn to 88 Palms because of how s***** they are. I stayed at this hotel and did not feel safe. I was barely in the room. I hold a MM card. I received a "smoking charge" due to in the trash can having "marijuana equipment". This is discrimination against people who hold the MM card. They can look inside the trash can and state the room smells like marijuana and charge you for smoking in the room. I never self safe in this hotel. I checked in after 5:30 pm and checked out at 8 am. I checked into my room where the door would not lock, the water would not turn hot and the room was filthy. I had no choice to change my room as I booked with Hotels.com. I checked in and left within an hour of my check in. I did not return til close to midnight and left as soon as I opened my eyes. There were people hanging outside the hotel all night. The only proof of my MM is the trash can. They can state they smelled it but they state this just to be able to take your money. I called and spoke with *** the manager but they refuse to reverse the charge. I have stayed at many hotels, in many states including states where MM is not legal and have never had an issue like this. This is absolutely discrimination and any one who hold their MM card should never EVER stay at this hotel.
