      TL;DR: I will never do business with Good Greek Moving & Storage again. They will charge you insane prices while making up excuses for their abysmal and pathetic customer service. I encourage everyone to heed my warning and the warnings of others across all the review sites. A year ago, I moved with Good Greek Moving & Storage from a house to an apartment. Everything went smoothly, and only took from start to finish about four hours. A little over $1,000 (including deposit, charged for a minimum of 3 hours with 3 men, etc.)This time, I moved in June 2024 from that same apartment to a one-bedroom in *****. So, a much shorter distance (30 minutes compared to about an hour travel time) plus a lot less to move, since we were going into a much smaller space. This time, however, the move took incredibly long.Multiple times during this move, I noticed how the pace of the move was incredibly slow. Despite everything being boxed except for clothes (which the boxes were provided for) and the furniture not being wrapped, it took this team three hours to load the truck.Now, I don't know about anyone else, but I find it odd that we HAD to pay the invoice before the job was done. All our belongings were still in the truck. Imagine my surprise when the invoice was for $1,753.70, which included the $260 deposit we had to make to book them. In total, they claimed this move would take 7.5 hours and cost (with deposit) about $2,000. How does that even make sense? In just one year ago, the same company (with the same guy on the team) only charged us a little over $1,000 for a farther distance and more items to move.Here's the big takeaway: Good Greek Moving & Storage are dishonest, manipulative, and deceptive. There is no way that a smaller and shorter move should have cost significantly more. I cannot fathom why anyone would want to do business with this company when there are plenty of bad reviews. STAY FAR AWAY FROM GOOD GREEK MOVING & STORAGE.

      Prior to making this negative review and contacting the Better Business Bureau, I reached out to customer service and I am still waiting for a phone call back. On 6/28/24, I spoke to *********, who informed me that his supervisor would return my call. I am still waiting for said phone call. The main reason that I decided on using Good Greek over the other two companies that I received quotes from, was because I originally felt that this company was well known and had a good reputation. I feel completely mislead and taken advantage of. When I spoke to *** to schedule my move from ***** to *****, I was never offered a flat rate. Instead I was told that they charge by the hour at a rate of $179.00 and it could be completed in ***** hours. I even calculated 20 hours, which would still be less than $4000. I was charged over $3000 the first day and over $4000 the second day, which was not a good faith estimate, as it was almost double of what I was originally quoted. I was so upset, that I called the company and asked the movers to just set up the furniture and return to *****. Calculating at $179 per hour times 23 hours, our move should not have cost more than $4117 plus tax. Not only was the cost exorbitant, but they refused to to complete the move in one day as promised, my lawn was destroyed by the moving truck, and items were broken during the move. I am extremely disappointed, feel completely taken advantage of, and feel mislead. Hoping that I will be hearing back from your company soon.

      ************************* and ***************************** with Good Greek did an amazing job packing and moving my parents from ******* to **************. They worked quickly but cautiously and with a smile. Their services were the best investment we could have made and we will definitely be utilizing them again in the future.

      Good Greeks is anything but good! I am a veteran of the ************************** and the front office treated my wife and I very badly. I will be placing a complaint with the BBB and Chamber of Commerce.***** was our estimator and severely under estimated the amount of boxes needed to pack us. To my surprise I recieved a call from ***** letting me know the packers needed extra boxes and the cost would be $499.00.When we booked our move, we informed Good Greeks that we needed an after noon delivery because we were closing on the house in the morning. To my surprise, we were charged an additional $499.00 for the afternoon delivery. This should have been stated in the beginning.We were given the option to pay by credit card (4%) additional fee, or by transfer from our bank (no additional fee). When we tried to pay by direct transfer from our bank we were told by the manager from the front office that we could not pay that way and we had pay by credit card and pay the 4% fee.If that is not bad enough, the manager of the office told the moving crew to get back in the truck and not to unload our property. So we paid the balance in full via debit card. Unfortunately the office manager would not allow the crew to unload our property until we signed a new contract. Good Greeks was paid in full and had no legal right to hold our property. The pack and move from ********* to ************ cost us in excess of $6,000. This is unacceptable. I assume we would have treated better if we were one of the major sports teams.

      Fantastic job. The three guys were quick and efficient and very helpful. They didn't even stop for a lunch break between loading the truck and unloading at the other end. Highly recommend them. Value for money.

      If I could give this company zero stars, I would. They botched our move, logistically failed and put the burden on us; they even charged over $1k in logistical fees. They rip you off with costs of boxes, and even put my boxed items in their boxes to charge more. The stated they did certain things for our move that they did not, yet they charged anyway. I actually moved all my furniture to the living room for them to make it easier and packed the brunt of my kitchen (the only two things we wanted them to do) they took pictures when they walked in and passed it off as them doing the work when they didnt. Management has done nothing to rectify any of the concerns and charges. They ran the card without authorization for all other fees outside of what was quoted. They quoted $1k and it ended up being over $3k 1 month later and they are still just blaming the customer and every time you counter their false claims they find another excuse to not refund money they should have never charged for. They were a nightmare! The team was too fatigued from a prior job and instead of them sending a new team they kept the current one. The team was not happy to be there and let me know it. They screwed up logistics so bad they got to the storage unit very late and it locked out. They could have gone up the stairs but refused and then left my storage unit open. I was blamed by them today for that. They never advised me to be there at the storage unit. They simply asked for my code and keys. Both I gave. Their management team has been absolutely void of accountability. Theres always a reason as to why we, the customer should have made it a better experience. I would never recommend this company to anyone. This didnt just cost us for Good Greek, it cost us time at work, which was the whole point of hiring them in the first place- so we didnt miss work! It cost us additional storage fees / truck rental , for the items they didnt actually take even though we paid them for that.

      BEWARE! company quoted me one price and charged me more than double. Held my furniture hostage until I paid. A lot of my furniture was damaged beyond repair during the move. I expected more from this company since both the owner and my deceased husband were from ***** Police. Thought I would pay it forward. WOW, Am I so sorry. Check the BBB before you move. STONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RIP OFF COMPANY! Would give them less stars but not a selection!
