I scheduled a moving company to move me from UT to KY. I paid them a down payment of $800 on 7/29/21 on the agreement that they would pick up my things on 8/13/21. On the day of pickup hey were not able to deliver the promised services because they claimed the truck broke down. They claimed they would not be able get someone else for over a week. I then asked for a refund and they sent me an email agreement saying they would give me the refund. I have still not received that refund. I have tried contacting them over the last couple of months just to be put on hold for an hour with no one returning to the call. Most recently the customer service number has said that it is out of service and there is no other way to contact them. I have tried filing a dispute with the bank and they have denied it.Initial Complaint

I was given a quote with a direct deposit of a $900.00. The day of the move the company did not show up. The second day the company did not show I've called asking for a refund that never came. The company is now not answering any of my calls.Initial Complaint

I provided a detailed inventory of things I needed moved, which included 3 complete bedroom sets, 4 couches with coffee and end tables, 2 bookshelves, a patio set, lawn mower, grill and 50 boxes. Movers showed up and said I had roughly 6 linear feet in their truck, which they admitted wouldn't even fit the couches. The driver was from a moving company and said In Motion Movers routinelyunder quotes the job, takes a big deposit and never actually intend on moving anything. The driver said it would be at least $12,000 to move these items, and they didn't even think they could fit it all since they showed up in a 35 ft truck that was already 1/3 full. Luckily I told them to get lost and rented a few uhaul's, as they thought I had no other choice than to pay for the more than double new cost. Now I intend to sue to get my deposit back. I was going to hire In Motion Movers for a move from Seattle area to Sounth Dakota. I then decided to stay and cancelled my move with in the 72hour window as per my contract. By staying with in this window I was told I would be refunded my deposit of 1300.00. I recieved my refund Verification letter as an email on Aug 20th 2021. I responded to the letter to accept the refund, as instructed so that it could be processed. I have still not recieved the refund. I have called and spoken with ****** in customer service many times XXX-XXX-XXXX. I was assured that my refund was issued, but she did not know the date of issue. I have left multiple voice mails and emails and no one gets back to me. Now when I call they just hang up. ****** verified my account number for the refund and says there is nothing further they can do. My account number with them was NXXXXXXX.Initial Complaint

On June 13, 2021, I hired In Motion Movers to move me from Menifee California to Loganville Georgia, a truck from USA Logistics, with four men came and packed up my stuff including two small safes and loaded them onto the truck. My stuff was stored with them for over a month without my knowledge, in late July my personal property was delivered to A Model Self storage, in Loganville Georgia, upon delivery I found all my boxes and containers was busted and all my crystals broken, my biggest surprise was both of my safes was broken into and over $10k of jewelry along with personal documents and flash drives was stolen, Then my safes was TAPED up and buried under boxes to hide what they did. I expect, In Motion movers to reimburse me for this lost. I trusted them to provide honest reliable workers instead they send me a bunch of thieves. This is unacceptable these workers should be in jail. I would like everyone to know how dishonest this company is and the type of people they employed.
