I hired this company called, The Property Claim, to handle my roof claim and the case has now settled. But I am not in agreement with all the Cost they broke down on Email Part 2. My home still has mold and the tarp they used didn't work. The water still got through and entered into my home through my ceiling. How am I supposed to fix my roof, mold issues and other damages with a little over $9,000.00? My wish is for the documents to be reviewed accordingly to make sure I'm not getting cheated out of my settlement and for these costs to be reduced as much as possible so that I can get a fair amount to fix the damages to my home. I have more photos and attachments from the insurance company but it was too large. I can send at a later time via email, as needed.Lastly, I have my friend helping me with this as I do not know English to well. I would appreciate someone in Spanish calling me regarding this Complaint or to call my friend. Her name is *********************** ******** and I give her permission to speak on my behalf. Her number is **************.Thanks

      June 28, 2024

      To whom it may concern,
I am writing in response to the complaint (ID: ********* filed by ********************************* concerning the handling of his roof claim. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation and address the concerns raised.
      1. Contract and Initial Estimate:
******************** signed a contract with The Property Claim on June 3, 2023. Our team promptly assessed the damage and prepared an estimate for the necessary repairs, which was submitted to ********************' insurance company. Unfortunately, the insurance company did not approve our estimate.
      2. Appraisal Process:
Due to the disagreement over the claim amount, we proceeded with the appraisal process to ensure a fair resolution. Attached, please find the Appraisal Contract Agreement signed on October 20, 2023. This process included:
Independent Appraisers: Both parties appointed independent appraisers to evaluate the damage and determine appropriate compensation.
Umpire Involvement: As the appraisers could not reach an agreement, the case was escalated to an umpire, who reviewed the case impartially and issued a final award.
      3. Settlement and Award Details:
The appraisal process concluded with an award of $37,302.38 (RCV), less the hurricane deductible of $7,150.00, resulting in a net additional Coverage A of $30,152.38. This amount includes costs for necessary repairs and restoration work performed by JD Restoration. This comprehensive settlement is intended to cover all aspects of the damage, including roof repairs and addressing mold issues.
      4. Addressing Specific Concerns:
Tarp and Water Intrusion: The tarp was intended as a temporary solution to prevent further damage until permanent repairs could be arranged.
Adequacy of Settlement: The awarded amount, including the *** of $35,944.53 and depreciation of $1,357.85, was determined through Umpire. We believe this is sufficient to cover all necessary repairs.
       5. Telephone Conversation:
********************* had a telephone conversation with ******************** on June 19, 2024. During this call, ************ provided a detailed explanation of the settlement process, payment breakdown and addressed any questions and concerns raised by ********************.

As explained in the attached email sent to ******************** on June 13, 2024, please see the payment breakdown below:
      RCV: $37,302.38

In June 2023, I had problem with *******. Submitted a claim to my home insurance, ************************* Claim # ******, and they did paid for the skylight but not for other roof damages, so I request the assistance of a Public Adjuster, *************************** to assist me with my Claim. The problem is that they do not answer my questions, my messages, and according to my insurance that claim is closed. I do not know if TPC request a new claim to my insurance. They told me one time that they were waiting for the adjuster of the insurance resolution to their demand and to come with agreement in the amount requested. They will charge me the 20 % of whatever the insurance will paid. But I dont know why they dont answer my messages and concerns. The following persons work under ************** , ***********************************, ******************************* and ***************************. None of them answered my messages. The blue tarp at the top of the roof flew away during a very strong wind in my neighborhood. Appreciated if you find for me if this is a legitimate business as a Public Adjuster in *******.
