A Plus Appliance was assigned to us by American Homeshield to repair a microwave and a glass cooktop. The first trip out, the technician spent all of 5 minutes taking a look at the appliances and left. He assured us that his 30 years of experience was all he needed, and nothing needed to come out of the wall, and was going to order parts. 2 weeks later, another tech comes out and is not only not able to remove the microwave from the wall because its a 2 man job, but when he attempted to remove the stove to replace a simple switch, he broke the glass cooktop and scratched the granite countertops. Homeshield warranted the cooktop, however only to a certain extent. It was a $2500 cook top and they offered $1000 towards a new one. They said we would have to file against A ************** to collect the remainder of the balance due to us. After weeks of attempting to get ahold of A Plus, we finally received a call back (from a blocked number) stating that they would not give us any insurance information and they would take care of the difference and the counter top scratches. We have not been able to get ahold of them since. We have tried calling and texting, and left several voice messages. We are left with a kitchen with a broken stove and gouged counter top, and a hole in the wall where a microwave is supposed to go, and a contractor who is absolutely ghosting us.
