    I hired Mark Appliance Repair to diagnose an issue with my GE Profile oven (Model: ***********) that was not heating evenly. However, the experience was far from satisfactory. Upon the technician's visit, my oven, which was working albeit not heating evenly, ended up completely non-functional. The control panel, which was previously responsive, became unresponsive during the technician's diagnosis. I found it rather coincidental and distressing that a functioning component would cease its operation during the technician's examination. Furthermore, I was informed that the problem was with the Control Panel. However, from my own research on GE's website, uneven heating typically relates to calibration issues rather than a control panel failure. I felt there was a lack of thorough and accurate diagnosis. The company's response to my concerns was dismissive. Instead of addressing the new problem that arose after the technician's visit, I was told "such things happen" which I found unprofessional and unsatisfactory. It's crucial for businesses to be accountable, especially when there's a clear sequence of events pointing towards potential oversight or error on their end. To anyone considering their services, be wary and ensure you document the state of your appliance both before and after their service. I hope my experience is an isolated incident, but I felt it was essential to share my story so others can make an informed decision.

    SCAM - A prompt arrival to repair my dryer. 15 minutes after arrival it was determined it needed a fuse which he got from his car. Offered to swap the loading door to the other side for easier loading. Looked up the value of the dryer and billed me 50% of its value $465 for 30 minutes of work + fuse. I was told it's not billed by time but by the job. Surprised at the cost, so I and questioned him, he offered to take the fuse out and leave. He pretended not to fully understand English but in hindsight, he understood a lot more. I was also advised the $60 booking fee would be deducted from the work done which it was not. It also amazed me how many five-star reviews they had in such a short time, especially after a bad review.

Our records indicate that the correct total amount that you paid is $355.40 (invoice 137461), not $465. We are committed to providing top-notch service and ensuring clear communication throughout the repair process. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced and appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our services for the future.
