On august 16, 2023 I paid Storybook Nannies 147.00 with my ***** bank **** card plus 15.00 in filing fees. On August 31, 2023 I paid an additional 168.00 via ****** worth my *** bank **** card. Total billing is 315.00 which storybook Nannies agreed to refund me in early October 2023 when I canceled services. The proprietors of Storybook Nannies assured me that I would receive my refund. After 4-5 days I contacted ****** to check if a refund was being processed and was told it was not. I contacted the nanny company right away to ask why and was told that their third party accounting company called ********** was having trouble refunding me and that there were internal hoops to go through to process the refund. I was not aware that I was paying this third party company and asked storybook Nannies to figure this out on their own with ********** and that I would just like to be directly refunded by the company I employed. I was told storybook Nannies would send me a certified check in the mail and that I would receive it before my ****** Trip commenced by October 11th. However, I just received an email today from storybook Nannies that ********** stated a refund would not be processed due to a claim I filed with ******* Now, I retracted that claim so there should not be a problem. In addition to that, I only filed a claim (later retracted) for one part of my payment (via ******). I did not file any kind of claim for my separate payment of 147.00 plus 15.00 fee. So I am not understanding why ********** is saying both charges are being delayed due to a claim. It makes no sense at all and I have already told storybook Nannies I would prefer to deal with them directly instead of a third party accounting company that I was not aware of. I have also researched ********** and have seen tons of negative reviews and am wary of dealing directly with this third party. I want storybook Nannies to stop placing accountability onto my shoulders with their third party and refund me.
