      DO NOT RENT FROM THIS ORGANIZATION **** BRANDS)--Istorage located at ********************************************************************************************************* After 10 years of patronage, Istorage failed to notify their tenants of an infestation of rats that overtook the property and as a direct result and breach of their fiduciary obligations has cost several unit owners a complete loss of all their belongings some of which are irreplaceable. The units are now a bio-hazard due to an abundance of rat f**** and urine which causes an airborne disease called the Hantavirus as defined by the **** I notified Corporate about their social responsibility to warn of hazardous conditions which they have actual knowledge exists and to date nothing has been done!!! I called WINK News in *************** and met with their reporters that covered the story.       On September 2nd, I attempted to rent a unit in Posen, IL. I was unable to complete the process online so I went to the location. Upon arrival, there was no one there during listed business hours. I called customer service and was told that there has been no one at the location in several months. I was also told that I had been billed for the first month even though I had not been assigned a locker nor completed the contract. I went to another of your locations in Oak Forest, IL. I called customer service to report that the gate was open and was told it was being fixed. I asked about renting at the new location. The previous contract was cancelled, funds returned (9/3) and was able to complete a contract. I went to the assigned locker and discovered a lock already and was unable to use it. I called customer service again, reported there was no one in the office during listed business hours and was told that they would remove the lock on the next business day after Labor Day. I waited until 9/7 before returning and discovered the lock remained. I called again to complain that I had paid a month's rent and still no access to the space. I was given a ticket number and assured that by Saturday, 9/9 at 10:30am CST, the lock would be removed and someone would be reaching out to me. It is now 9/9 at 12:30pm, when I checked an hour ago, the lock was not removed and I am unable to do business with them nor recommend you to anyone. I demand a refund of the month's rent immediately as I continue to search for a reputable company to offer my business.

      IStorage is the worst ever! No one is ever available at the location. You can't always make a payment via phone or website. They've broken some of my items and have yet to settle the claim. My lock was removed and no one knows nothing! They continually go up on prices while customer service is a ALL time low. The people they hire are totally incompetent. I've never been so outraged with how this company treats their customers. I'm at the point to throw everything away instead of dealing with such foolishness!

      Hi, After getting a storage unit from them, they charged me $74.20 a month upfront, no free month, and when I left, they charged me $47.03 for the final month, and I was not even there. The space had black mold previously, too, from what the ground showed. I do not recommend others store their possessions at this establishment.

      This company is not to be trusted. They have lied to me on several occasions even the retaliating vacate date. Since I stood up for myself and voiced my opinion about how I felt about the property manager I was told I had to vacate by Sept 28, 2022 but here we are on September 24, 2022 and I'm told by customer service that my account is closed and I have vacated when I haven't vacated anything, iStorage must have. I want to know where my belongings are and I want them. I am demanding answers!!!

      After 7 years, we cannot take it anymore. Every month/quarter they raise the prices. Right now we are paying $505 for what is advertised as $347 on their website. We can upgrade or downgrade but are not allowed to move out of our 500 unit and claim the advertised 347 unit. The place is not/hardly climate controlled. The A/C did not work for years and we lost a lot of electronics due to the humidity (never filed a claim). Cold as hell in the winter. Finally, the 10x20 unit they advertise is actually 9x18 foot. Bathroom did not work for a couple years either. We will be moving elsewhere. They are awful!

      Istorage took over the proguard storage where I have a unit the first of May. When I attempted to pay my May rental fee the credit card online payment site did not work. I went to the facility, where there was about a 45 minute line of customers, to pay and was told they were only accepting checks. Trying again today. Additionally, istorage has tacked on a $15 "insurance" fee per their rental agreement, which was not in the rental agreement I originally signed with proguard. So, rental terms changed without my prior agreement. The $15 fee for $2000 of coverage, which is already covered under my homeowners policy, is about ten times higher on a $charged/$ of coverage than my homeowners policy. Sounds like a sneaky way of increasing rent without prior notice.

      They are terrible. Worst business ever. Wont answer the phone, online payment portal will not work, phone payments won't work.. then late charges come at you and they won't wave them. One of several times I have had problems with them. I'll never do business with them again.
