Predatory pricing scheme. Their leases are month to month, so they can (and will) raise the rent once they anticipate that you're "locked in." After three months of being a tenant, they attempted to raise my rent by 25%. Management would not compromise, and I am in the process of moving out.Review from Daniel C

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !! SOME ON SITE STORAGE PLACES ARE SO POORLY MANAGED !! NO ACCOUNTABLITY FOR POOR EMPLOYEE SERVICES!! THIS COMPANY USES VERBAL " SCARE TACTICS !! DO NOT!! DO NOT GO TO STORE SPACE SELF STORAGE 3980 E.LK MARY BLVD. THEY raise your prices every month, when you pay online on their new auto system, charge you for 2 months and leave the other unit unpaid. The gates been broken prob a total of 1 1/2 yrs out of almost 3 years!! Great security! I called about wrong scammer paying, quote...I'm just a salesman, I don't know about our policy, can't do anything to help you! Called 6 times, always got corporate, no help, when I pressed 3 for local manager. By then I'm frustrated. Charles was nice, new Manager, said he'll fix it and take lock off unit that payment did not go to!!!!! 280.00 a month! EachReview from Bernice T

I have had my belongings at this location for several years. I owe a bill for September 2023, and October 2023. All of a sudden today Friday October 27th, 2023, I received an email from the district manager there and I quote his email below. I live in New York too. I'm so glad that I just didn't pay my bill, because I'm sure my belongings are probably gone through and stolen out of the unit. So what would I be paying for? Dear first, last name During our recent property inspection at Store Space Philadelphia, Wayne, we discovered your unit may be one of a number of units in an unlocked and/or unsecured state. Please come immediately to make sure your unit is locked and secure. Check in with the store manager upon arrival during regular office hours." Why is my unit in an unlocked and unsecured state? I was treated awful ?? and very unfair by the store manager, ***. The district manager *** informed me that I could pay my storage. When the bank opened and my account was fix at the very time *** and I agreed to. *** would not ************* to pay ??. I feel *** intentionally ignored me, so he can just say, no, first come first serve. I never received ?? a contract with the new changes. I told *** to find my contract in my email they sent and he swept pass that. I want the value of my storage return in monetary settlement or agreement. I didn't receive it by mail either. Nonetheless they took my storage even after district manager said for me to keep and pay the balance. Just hateful I'm 68 those things was from living in a shelter, I need time to bring them to my current apartment.Review from Clinton J

Store space in Bonita springs is a full blown scam. I reserved a unit and upon looking at it realized it’s not even the size I requested. They do not have customer service help at all. Fully automated, no on site manager. Those 5 stars reviews are FAKE. This place will steel from you. I currently have my Attorny filing against them. I requested my money back after 3 days of trying to get through i finally got someone and was told I would get full refund and that was a lie. They are now sending me bills for a unit that I canceled and am not using. Go elsewhere if you value your moneyReview from Tiara G

I have tried to speak to the manager about the issue of getting mice in my unit all of sudden it’s poop every where on my stuff and the ground and it’s a dead mice probably more I can’t even really go in to get the rest of my stuff out because of what’s all in it now,I have contact corporate office they claim to not have the access of info of what to do about it, as well as the in store manager acting nonchalant about the matter I ask for my unit to get clean up and the mice remove and yet still no resolution very dissatisfied in how things have been lately as well as prices keep going up all of sudden when this was not what I sign up for. I have a storage unit at this location. Yes, my balance is outstanding 583.00. I provided them with 2 money orders total $350 until I get pay. The money orders were dropped on January 1 and today January 5 I received an email to move out because full payment was not received and they will return payment. Why will you return payment, if I have a balance. I need the corporate office and BBB to contact me ASAP. The management there are very rude and unreasonable.Review from Casey M

Raised prices from $23/month to $52 per month within a little over a year. The building has mice which will damage your stored items, and the building takes no responsibility other than forcing you to buy their insurance even if you already have your own. The roof leaks into units, and the front door has been broken for months preventing access to stored items (and preventing move outs). "Climate controlled" is used very loosely with temperatures ranging from 40 degrees to 90 degrees. Literally the worst storage facility I have used or heard of.Store Space Self Storage Response

The business did indeed respond and is taking objectively drastic steps to improve the property. Everything in the review remains true, but hopefully they will improve it in the near future.
