work was started first week of December 2020 was quoted 11000 dollars for labor plus materials was to remove old siding, windows,and 1 door plus repair vapor barrier added osb board for additional cost also sliding door for a total of 12264 dollars for labor windows were not sealed properly siding installed improperly was secured tight should have 3/32 gap so siding buckled called them back several times to fix spots where siding was not secured properly to house told them about the buckling was told it was the siding, according to manufacturer's install instruction must have 3/32 gap to allow for expansion also vapor barrier is falling off ask them to fix back of house where 3 pieces were cobbled together could have been 1 piece very poor workmenship would like 3500 dollars back to have repaired properlyBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/09/01) */ Contact Name and Title: Terry L***** - Owner Contact Phone: 18635947780 Contact Email: [email protected] Since we have done all this work to this job we were called out about 8 months after work was completed and after several big wind and rain storms. First, as for any windows there were NO complaints about those and were NEVER asked to fix any windows because those type of windows are double caulked from the inside and on the nail flange on the outside of the window. Then vapor barrier is put on and siding put on. Those windows do not leak and they all open properly! The issue is with the homeowner trying to get money back because he knows his 3 months warranty was over a long time ago. Second, As for the siding we were out there and fixed (what looked like wind damage) to the siding in one area. After another big storm they called us back to fix another area. Customer was very intoxicated! He was 'very' verbally abusive and stared calling us filthy name loudly outside. So we turned and left. We don't mind fixing it but will not tolerate dirty name calling. We would be willing to go out one more time to fix the area he is talking about BUT will leave if there is any abuse started. It's been over a year and there is NO guarantees on siding once we have any big wind storms or hurricanes come thru. Once more we would like to remind everyone that we were NOT called until 8 months after we completed this job. If it was NOT done right I'm sure we would have gotten a phone call within 30 days. Again, if the customer want's us to come out to repair any of this wind damage, we will but IF one dirty name is called we leave!!! NOTE this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT at this customer.
