We purchased our system in May of 2020. High end REC solar panels were provided despite the fact that I knew nothing about efficiency, warranty and degradation. This month I encountered a problem with one string not working. Despite the fact that the installation warranty expired three years ago, the company sent out a service man at a very nominal expense. I would give them a rating of 6 stars if possible. The fact that they now do roofing is a great positive because the solar panel rail system must be mounted properly, and experienced roofers understand the meaning of "mounted properly".

We were in the market for a total roof replacement and had multiple estimates from different companies but none would remove and reinstall our solar panels. We finally found Solar Energy Specialist Corp and called them for the solar panel job. We spoke with the owner of the company, Gary. Gary was amazing and informed us that he does roofing as well. We ultimately hired Gary for our roof replacement and solar panels. We had a million questions and Gary never hesitated to text or call us back to answer our questions and make sure we knew his company was there for us. Our job was scheduled, completed, and passed inspection with zero issues with the roof replacement. When reinstalling our solar panels, Gary's crew found what could have been a major fire hazard from where the original company that installed our solar panels didn't wire something correctly. He explained everything to us in a way where we didn't feel dumb so we understood the issue. I can't speak highly enough about Gary and his crew. If you need solar or a new roof, call him!

We just had our solar panels come online with Tampa Electric. Gary was very knowledgeable and really helped educate us about the benefits of higher efficiency appliances in conjunction with our solar panel systems. We added a new Bosch SEER 20 AC unit, variable speed pool pump and hybrid electric heat pump water heater. By reducing our electric demand we were able to go with a 9.6 KW system which saved on cost and some mandatory Homeowners Insurance requirements. All installations were done professionally, on schedule and were followed up by Gary to ensure I was satisfied with the quality of the equipment and workmanship. I look forward to many years of reduced electricity bills and the feeling that I am doing what I can to help the environment. I would highly recommend Solar Energy Specialist to anyone considering making the leap to solar power.

Gary was amazing from start to finish. Ron was amazing as well. I learned so much from them and they set me up with exactly what I needed and was looking for. Gary and his team were very professional and quick to correct all the issues we have had with our solar array. I would recommend this company any day of the week.

Gary and Ron and their assistant came out yesterday to give us ideas and suggestions on repairing a system that was installed by another company who went out of business and left us hanging with an incomplete, non-working system. Gary was very responsive to our questions and how best to go about the work of getting the system online the most cost saving way. Ron took keen interest in determining why the system was cutting out in the afternoon, and why the company used underrated main lead wiring from ground mount system to the power meter. Ron made a few calls while he was here to confirm the gauge of the wiring that was used vs what is actually needed to bring power from panels to the meter. Ron and Gary took the time to look at our APP for the inverter, to determine issues with the system . the conversation was relaxed and they all brought us at ease as they talked to us, not down at us. We came up with a solution, but still need to determine issues with the permit and loan financing. Gary also gave us an attorneys number who deals with solar issues. They also determined that the inverter is also too small for the KW from panels we have. When we are ready to proceed we will use them, as they appear to be more knowledgeable and professional than others we have had out here to get the system working and up to code. sincerely david ***** **********
