I on 10-11/21 I scheduled an appointment to have my vehicles catalytic converter replaced and dropped my car off on 11/1/21. My car has remained in the shop since that time and although I have called them Many time to inquire about the status of my cat I have not received a return call . When I finally reached a representative I was assured o would receive my repaired vehicle on 11/21/21, then 11/22/21 (after I was informed that the delay was due to rusted bolts that they could not get off) 11/23/21, then 11/30/21, 12/1/21.. as of today I still do not have my car and have not received any additional updates.I have been without my car for over 5 weeks for a job I was told would take 4 hours. I am hoping foafvise as to my options for resolving this matter.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/14) */ You could have just call us if you wanted to hear something new. We told you it would take 3 weeks to get the part after you dropped it off. We told you your car is a rust bucket northern vehicle and this would take time. While my employees were waiting for the parts in between jobs they have been torching and cutting off rust bolts/parts to remove the catalytic convertor. We were doing you a favor and weren't charging you, but now that you are complaining, incorrectly so, for the world to see this may change after today. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/12/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The general attitude of the response and calling my garage kept well maintained vehicle a "rust bucket" aligns with the poor management of this repair. I did call (sometimes up to 3 times in a single day, leaving messages each time) without any response. In desperation I reached out to BBB and their response says it all. I feel like I issue with being told I was receiving "a favor" for a 4 hour job that has taken 45 days. I have received exactly 3 calls in that time, all other communication has been me requesting updates. My expectation is that if they were not able to repair my vehicle that I be told that in a timely manner to allow me to find a PROFESSIONAL who could.
