On 4/14/2023 a charge of $3,179.81 was debited from my bank account without my authorization from Advent Health (AHS Sunbelt INC Main Altamonte). I called the bank (****** when I noticed the charge on my account and informed them that there had been a non authorized debit, they reimbursed me the $3,179.81 and opened an investigation reassuring me that they would take care of it. On 6/21/2023 ***** debited the charge again taking back the $3,179.81 from my account. I called the bank again and was told the claim had been denied they stated it was not fraud because I had been to this hospital before. Yes, I have been to this hospital before and paid co-payments but I do not have outstanding balances. Nor are they legally allowed to take $3,000 dollars from someone’s account without any reason or prior authorization. This is a complete outrage because I never authorized this payment the hospital just took it from my account. They told me I had to go to the hospital and tell them to return the funds. I went to the hospital where I was told that I do not owe anything nor does the $3,179.81 appear anywhere as a payment made on 4/14/2023 they told me that the bank had to deal with the issue and return the funds. I called the bank again they told me they would send the paperwork of investigation and that the hospital would have to return funds. I went back to the hospital they state that bank sent does not include account number where the funds went to. I called the bank again and asked for the acct information where the funds went to they stated this was confidential information. I went to a local ***** and spoke to someone and they suggested I go to the police to file charges. I went to the police station and was told they don’t manage these cases. I have been back and forth with no solution. The hospital nor the bank has helped me get to the bottom of this and get the $3,179.81 back. Please help me get my money back this is not a small amount of mi ey that was takenBusiness response

Sketchy business practices. We are fully covered under our insurance for an annual physical. We just moved into the area so I made an appointment for physicals for my wife and I. My doctor listened to my chest. Asked me how I felt and strangely pushed for me to have an aids screening test. It was literally the most non-physical physical I've had in my life. My wife didn't even get a doctor, she was only seen by an RN. Her physical was at least normal. We both received bills as advent health decided it wasn't a physical but "new patient intake" and charged us. My wife was charged 260 and i was charged 160 for something that should have been free. Never once when booking the appointment was this suggested. It strikes me as borderline fraud.Business response

I previously submitted a complaint about this hospital, but the hospital rep stated that they would work with me to try and resolved the issue which has not happened. I'm beyond frustrated and disgusted with Advent Health Financial counselor Chanelle P*****- L**** who called me back on 01/01/22 and sent an email stating that it would take three weeks to process my financial assistance request. I have not heard back from her or anyone from Advent Health. I honestly believe that no one is working on my case nor trying to assist me. I was making monthly payment to my Advent Health bill and have fallen back due to financial hardship and asked for help but no one at this hospital cares. Today, I received a letter from Advent Health stating that I am in collections. I am going to report this hospital to FTC due to unfair billing practices. How can you report me to collections when I am still paying you monthly? This is ridiculous that I have to keep going back and forth with Advent Health. This is one of the worst hospitals in Central Florida and their staff are incompetent and not compassionate.
