I recently bought a low mileage, used 2021 ***** CX5 from Lexus of Winter Park/Lexus of Orlando (they are the same company). I bought it over the internet without seeing it in person, based on: 1) The pictures in the online ad that did NOT show any kind of damage, anywhere on the car. 2) The ad copy that stated the car was "beautiful" and in "excellent" condition. 3) Conversations with the sales staff where I was repeatedly assured that the car was spotless and in beautiful condition.Based on all this information, I paid for the car in full and arranged to come and pick it up within the next 2 weeks. When I arrived at the showroom on the pre-arranged date, 12 days later, I was presented with the car, complete with 2 long, large, deep, parallel scratches, low down on the left rear quarter panel behind the wheel well. These scratches were not evident in the ad pictures due to the camera angle and the bright reflectivity of the paint on that sunny day. If I had not already paid in full for the car (my mistake), I would have walked away from the deal, or, demanded a significant reduction in price to cover having the damage repaired.Suffice it to say, Lexus of Winter Park/Lexus of Orlando has not taken ownership of having knowingly sold me a damaged car, haven't apologized, and have not offered any significant compensation for the damage. On top of all that, they lied to me about owing me some money for overcharging on some estimated licensing and registration fees they collected at closing: $731.41. They initially issued a check in that amount, but then stopped payment on it. When I inquired about the stop payment, I was told that they would issue another check in the same amount, only to be informed the next day that no, they really didn't owe me any more money. If you are buying a new $60K-$120K+ Lexus from these people, you might be OK. However, if you are looking to buy a used car from them. my advice is; Be VERY careful. They lied to me.Review from Angelina G

I was there just to get a payout receipt because I wanted to purchase out my lease and I wanted to refinance privately with my own bank he told me I was not able to and not allowed that's the ******* rules unless it was a used car it is a used car because it's a return lease but I didn't have a contract in ******* because it was a contract in *********** besides the facts why can't I go to my own bank he said I was not able to not allowed which he manipulated and belittled a woman and I don't need that I have lost my husband I felt to Green it and then he told me if I didn't like it to go back to ******** was trying to make money off of a widow how dare him do that a horrible experience which I didn't need or have to deal with something like that then furthermore I tried to obtain another document at a ****** dealer and they tried to scam me as well saying that I have to pay $1,000 for a piece of paper just for a payout I cannot believe how they treat women and degrade women is unacceptable they should be a law that you cannot do that to a woman and belittle them that's disgusting and not constitutionalReview from Elaine T.

I went into Lexus of Winter Park to see what they had on their lot bc I was in the looking stage at that point I was met by a sales person immediately after I drove up and told him I was just looking. He told me why don’t you come in and let’s see what we can do for you bc you might be surprised. I thought it could t hurt just to see. The sales person said to me right from the start they don’t play those numbers games there, so I trusted him and let my guard down and was interested in what he had to say. I came into the dealership with a 2017 Honda Accord Sport that I was told by 2 credible people if I sold the car myself I could get at least 21,000.00 for this car since it only had 34,000 miles on it and it had never been in an accident and had no scratches and the paint looked brand new on this car. The sales person started talking about my car as a trade in and I told him my plan was to sell the car myself and that’s when he said he could give me 17,000.00 for the car and it would save me a lot of head aches from selling it. I thought for a moment and thought he might have a point there ,so he says to me that he needed my driver’s license, but didn’t tell me what he needed it for , I’m thinking he’s verifying somehow that I own the car to make sure it’s not a stolen vehicle. WRONG! He was running a credit check which he came back and showed me my credit score was 853. Then he says let me run some numbers and I’ll be back He comes back with a full sized sheet of paper with the numbers he supposedly ran ( which I don’t think he ran the numbers, I think a manager was in the back and ran the numbers). I looked at the at the paper with what appeared to be the fees and the 17000.00 for the trade in etc. and saw the bottom number of 33,635.43. I asked him was that the balance out the door price ,he said yes He told me he could hold the car for 5000.00 and it would go toward the balance owing. It didn’t happen. I was duped and lied to. Stay away from them!Review from sandra c

Worked on a deal that was satisfactory for my son and the dealership. But....the sales manager brought out a credit application. I told him we are not giving out my son's social security number (SSN) because he already has his own financing on hand from his credit union (and can prove it) and the sales manager stated that he needed my son's SSN for OFAC. We didn't know what that was so he gave us the full name (Office of Foreign Assets Control) to search on ******. He stated that if he has to check OFAC for one, he has to check for all. I asked why did he have a credit application and he said he can cross that out. WOW!! There was a lot of back and forth of which I said we are not giving out my son's SSN. He was very adamant about needing my son's SSN for OFAC but using a credit application. We did not buy the car. We got up and left. Similar issue happened at their second location at **** ***** **** *******, FL with my daughter but they used the Patriot Act as a reason for needing her SSN when she already had her own financing walking in the door (have proof also). We were misled to think her SSN was needed and used for Patriot Act but they pulled her credit and caused a dip in her credit score. Filed BBB complaint to get a remedy/ response and Lexus Orlando told BBB my daughter needed financing. We disagreed and they said same response each time! They lied. My daughter and I left with the car that was financed by...her bank financing that we walked in with! We tried Winter Park location thinking we'd be better there after Orlando issue but we were wrong. We're just waiting on an update on this review to see what lie they come up with for the 305 Semoran Blvd, Winter Park location issue. We have info saved electronically. Be careful people.Review from Nader D

BE CAREFUL! Don't buy extended warranty from them. They sold me extended warranty on tires for a car i purchased from them and they refused to honor it when I needed to replace tires. They said it's not a Lexus car so we can't honor the warranty, but that's not what they said when they sold me the extended warranty!Review from Kevin M

I have a 2019 Lexus ES 350 that is a lease that is up March om 2022. I have leased 3 cars from Lexus of Winter Park in the last 10 years, so I am a loyal customer, or should I say WAS! Because of the current market situation with new cars, I have deiced to buy out the lease. I got my finance in order prior to contacting Lexus of Winter Park. Once I contacted them they informed me I could only buy out my current lease through one of their preferred lenders. A finance Manager with Lexus of Winter Park said yes it is a store policy. I said so it's not a Lexus policy and he confirmed it was a Lexus of Winter Park and **************** policy. I found a competitive Lexus dealership in *************, FL which is a 1 1/2 hours from my home that says they do not have that kind of policy. So, I called Lexus of Winter Park back just to make sure they are good losing a great customer to a competitor because of a store policy and they said unfortunately yes they could not help me unless I used their lenders. I told them it was not very good customer service or a business model but Lexus of ************* I look forward to working with you and all my future new car purchases. Big mistake Lexus of Winter Park!
