On August 19, 2022 we hired RACS Roofing & Construction Solutions for an entire roof replacement. The contract price was $48,420. We paid $2,500 for our deductible & paid $12,026 for roofing materials. Initially, we had two separate crews (without supervision) start our home.They laid the underlayment down in the pouring rain and they unscrewed our screen enclosure (without attaching it back); needless to say the screen enclosure fell.The rain continued into the evening and within an hour we had about 6-7 major leaks into our attic & home. We contacted them and they came out only to advise us that the crew didn't seal the pipe jacks properly with the underlayment and bull. The damage was already done we had ceiling damage in almost every room of our home. Against our better judgment, the contractor didn't want to get their insurance company involved and promised to make everything right and fix all the damages. The damages and issues continued to get worse. When they tried to fix one thing they would damage other things. The roof continued, and the wrong underlayment was initially put down (we had to use Certainteed products for the warranty), many boards were broken with the renailing so many times.The contractor hired crews to come in and try to fix the interior damage. Complete nightmare over the next two months with so many unsupervised subcontractors trying to fix the damages that they caused.We were basically babysitting and restrained to not leaving our home over these next few months so they could fix our home as they promised. We currently have 4 leaks, blistering occurring (because they installed the *********************** in the pouring rain), items still not completed on the interior ************* ***** bill went from $48,420 to $106k+.Billing our insurance company for some work that wasn't completed and/or not completed properly was caused by their own negligence. We have many videos and pictures of all the damage.Very frustrating and disappointing.
