      Mr. S****** and his son Dylan were hired to repair walls, repair dry wall, paint apply Stain Kilz Sealer to all ceilings with damage, paint dining room, bedroom and hallway, put new moldings on, put 2 light fixtures up, apply caulk to sliding door, apply caulk to 2nd floor windows, re-adjust kitchen door, remove wallpaper, skim coat walls, texture walls, paint baseboards, remove popcorn texture and repair any damage and clean up the mess made in each area. They were in my home multiple times and each time the job they were hired to do was not done correctly and when we voiced our concerns we were promised it would be handled and multiple times later it still was not correct. We voiced our concerns again and my wife was yelled at by Mr. S****** and called me crying so I would not allow him in my home without myself being there. When I went to meet them at my home I was cursed at by Mr. S****** when I showed him the multiple areas that were still not done properly or repaired. He stormed out cursing and left his son Dylan in my home. Even after all that we said they could come back to finish the work and it was still not done correctly. The last visit to my home was Mr. S******** wife she came when I advised Mr. S****** and his wife my wife had Covid but she insisted on coming to pick up the rest of the money for the job which we explained to her was no where near done and showed her the multiple problems and she agreed it was terrible the way my home was left we gave her another 300.00 on top of what was paid and she asked when they could come back we told her to please call us Monday to set up a date for that week because my wife has Covid and I want to make sure no one else shows symptoms and she said that would be fine and we never heard from them again. I had to have 3 different companies come in to give estimates to not only fix the job they did and finish it but estimates to clean my laminate wood floors because of paint and dust due to them not being covered.

      The original quote was for $7,000.00. We reduced the amount of work to adjust to the homeowner's budget and he agreed to the amount of $2,900.00. The original quote was in February of 2023. The homeowner kept delaying the start of the job, we finally secured a date of 7/07 2023 with a deposit of half ($1,400.) We kept trying to schedule to complete the work, but the homeowner was never available. He was on vacation twice in a 30-day period, sick twice with the final straw of his wife and child having Covid. We could never get in to complete the punch out work because the homeowner kept dragging out the job in my opinion because he didn't have the money to pay us in full. This was a job that should have taken a week. We did not agree to drag the job out over a month and be on a payment plan. This interfered with other paying customers and our schedule. We accommodated his schedule 4 times and after he cancelled us coming the 5th time, we decided to go our separate ways and for them to keep the rest of the money. This homeowner wanted something for nothing. He was extremely difficult to work with. Also, the homeowner was told that the walls are very old and painting them will not hide all defects. The homeowner expected work to be completed that was in the original quote for less money. We are a small business and pride ourselves, on quality work and good relations with our customers. We have been in business for 34 years and this is our first complaint with the BBB. We can't complete a job if the homeowner is never available.

      I am rejecting this response because: The original quote was for 7,000.00 when the living room and half bath were going to be included, which we decided against. 4 Seaon's Remodeling was well aware of the process of our insurance company who would only release payments in increments after certain portions of the job were done at a time and fully agreed to this. We advised 4 Season's Remodeling to take other re-modeling jobs while we were waiting for insurance checks to start the next stage of the process in our home so they would not miss out on any monies they could make while waiting for our insurance company. My wife and son did have Covid BUT that did not stop the owner's wife from coming to my home so I could show her the unfinished work and the poor workmanship of the other issues that needed to be fixed. This was after the owner came back to do a punch list and we explained to him what still needed to be done and was unfinished and got very angry and stormed out. We even at the time of the owner's wife's visit gave her more money for the job and asked to be called that Monday to let us know when someone would be back to finish the un-finished work and fix all the issues left behind. We never heard from them again. The owner of 4 Season's Remodeling failed to mention the time he did a walk through with my wife to go over issues and made her cry because he started getting very angry with her when she pointed out all the issues with the project that were not addressed and she ended up crying as he was telling her this is what you get for 2900. He then left and I had to call him to ask him to come back after I got off work to go over everything that day because she was scared to be in the house alone with him after the volatile way he acted and spoke to her. The same day I met him back at my house and as I was starting to show him the issues with the work he started getting angry and cursing at me and left. We know we have an older town home and we know some things he can only do his best with but missing paint, things not sanded, not putting drop cloths down and ruining my wood floor, paint on the carpet and multiple other things is unacceptable. 2900 is a-lot to myself and my wife and he made it seem like we were paying him nothing. We had to have painters and floor cleaning people come in to get estimates to fix the issues 4 Season's Remodeling left behind and it is going to cost us more money to fix the issues 4 Season's Remodeling made or didn't adress like they were supposed to. We need monetary compensation to have everything fixed. It is not fair our house was left in such disarray by 4 Season's Remodeling and we have to know pay more money for a job they were paid to do. We have estimates available if needed and multiple pictures of everything from start to finish as proof.
