We contracted Affordable Express Flooring for a kitchen remodel in the spring of 2022. The owner Dennis B***** - who has previously done a great job on our floors and our friends' floors and kitchen- collected our advance check in July 2022 for $12,150.00 and then completely disappeared and has not responded to any text messages, or phone calls. He was supposed to start our kitchen remodel on January 9th, we tried contacting him to reconfirm, my husband eventually drove out to his shop where he was informed by Dennis' father that he lost his phone and that he would have Dennis call my husband. 2 days later Dennis called with some excuse about the lost phone and told us he was 2-3 weeks behind. We have been trying to call and text him since then, sent him an email and still nothing. Unless the amount is refunded within 30 days we will be filing legal action to recover the stolen advance.Initial Complaint

After having another company remove all my rotted wood flooring after a slab failure I hired them to prepare the floor for carpeting.  He said he would scrape off the glue residue and sand the concrete.  He would then use Hydroban to put a water vapor seal on the concrete.  He knew I was going to do this job in two parts.  I wanted to make sure the water vapor seal would hold before installing the carpet, just in case it leaked again. On 3/22/22 His employee scraped the glue, sanded the concrete and then applied 1 coat of Hydroban.  He was going to leave but I told him I knew 2 coats needed to be done.  He checked with his boss and came back to apply 1 more coat.  I asked if the floor had properly dried before he applied the next coat and he stated it had. It was only 20 min. in between.  I was beginning to realize the employee did not know what he was doing.  I later noticed that I could see the old staining on the concrete through the 2 coats and there was a white  small hole, about the size of silver dollar, in the middle of the floor that had no product. I messaged Dennis and he said he would send the employee back when available. I contacted Hydroban to check on how long I actually could wait to walk on it and then found out that the entire job had been done wrong and it was never appropriate to be used with carpet, vinyl or wood flooring to begin with.  Only a cement based product such as tile. I called Dennis who then called and spoke to Hydroban.  He called me back with information about a product, Drylok, that he would use to redo.  We discussed when he would return.  He said it would take about 1 and half weeks.   After waiting, I called, He started not answering my calls, not opening my txt messages for days.  He finally called with multiple excuses.  Then he txt's me on a Sat. 4/16 am I available Thurs. or Fri. the upcoming week.  I said Thurs.  Txt me on Tues 4/19"I will call you this afternoon and go over everything with you." Still waiting.Initial Complaint

New flooring was sold and installed March 2020, by August 2020 they were breaking everywhere. I called the owner. The owner said they would come out. Someone came out and no answers. By November 2020 another crew came out. By March 2021 I had them out at least 4 times. They then came to replace my floors, nothing was from our destruction. The floor and installation was horrible. They began to replace the broken parts when realizing it had to be re-done again. Not even a month later my floors are broken again and the owner was suppose to be working something out with us but never returns any calls, messeges or texts. I have begged and pleaded with zero answers at all. Now I have 2 children injured by the broken flooring. This business took me for $5k plus and have made the last year and a half very difficult and upsetting. Not to mention the injuries. The floor was not laid properly and they will not hold up their end.Business response

To be correct the damages to your floor was not due to a installation issue. The damage was due to the wear and tear of your kids bed frame post from jumping on the bed and rubbing on the vinyl planks and also the 2 office chairs in your kids rooms. No furniture was felted and no plastic mat under your kids rolling chairs. Besides that fact I went ahead and ordered 10 more boxes out of EAF pocket and sent my team to fix the issue for you out of EAF pocket. No extra cost to you at all. Also in the kitchen we fixed the planks and we noticed your fridge was leaking water which cause the floor in the kitchen to come apart. We fixed that for you as well. We also noticed your animals with urine stains on the baseboards and shoe molding. I assure you we tried our best to give you what you wanted. But under your treatment of the floors this is out of our reach. So I'm sorry to say that there will be no refund on your product or installation. I also Attached pictures to conclude your slandering statement about EAF.
