12/13-12/14: ************** grossly underbid move. Charged almost 3x the quoted price. Movers broke and damaged many expensive things. Did not properly wrap expensive dressers and furniture in blankets. Gross negligence. Owner origionally she would reimburse to original quote, of move, even asking which card to reimburse the money to. She now has gone back on her word and says she will reimburse only 2 hours. The cost of broken items exceeds cost of even the inflated move. Movers were playing and wasted much of the time they should have been moving. Used our ($5,000) electric cart ((without permission)) and bent it. Dropped things like a refrigerator and a ******* smoker. These men were riding our segways in our driveway while we were paying over 300 an hour for them to move. We bought them 3 meals a day and tipped generously in spite of all the issues since our move was only days before Christmas. This company claimed to be insured. Why are our things not being replaced? How can they underbid that dramatically and it not be false advertising? They are underbidding to beat competitors and then surprising clients with the ****. To add insult to injury, they drove through our newly laid sod in our front yard as they left.

We contacted ******************** multiple times and attempted to pick up his damaged cart for repair.  He refused any repair on the cart.  All of our moves are priced to the minute. ******************** had some terrain and inventory changes that he did not disclose that made the job go longer than expected.

      Complaint: 16401370

I am rejecting this response because:

Charlie is diluting the truth here. The cart in question is a motorized beach cart woth over $5,000. Banging or bending or dismantling it voids the warranty. They were instructed to only move it, instead they used it to move heavy items. It is now bent beyond repair, and motor is grinding and clicking.

To say that I withheld items is a lie and an understatement. They requested to do an estimate over the phone, i walked room by room and item by item. They were off on their quote by over $5,000!

When i asked her if she was going to file an insurance claim she said should do nothing of the sort, I would have to take her to court to recover damages. Damages to my property were over $10,000. They damaged item and tried to hide it. New smokers, office furniture, beach cart, antique furniture.. she never sent a cent for her companies issues. They broke many items and should pay for them. What business does a 6ft tall 200lb man have riding a 7 year old girls bike when they are being paid to move it.

Meals (7) were bought for her crew exceeding over $100 each time, and each mover tipped well over $200 a piece. Slapping some glue and stain on my items, or bending them back it place does little. Better care should have been taken. Nothing was wrapped during the move, items were consistently dropped. Her employees were caught smoking weed on the job, wrestling, and damaged both houses. Walls had to be repaired, stone stairs fixed, wood floors resealed, fences repaired from their behavior.

      Sincerely,
