On March 20, 2022 I had signed up for the 2022 Anything is Possible 5k for 2022 (VIP Package!) scheduled for November 6, 2022. When it was canceled, I opted to transfer my registration to the promised November 5,2023 race. Since then, nothing, no contact at all from you. It's not listed on any of the local race calendars. I guess that scammed all of us. This is the first time someone has ever done this to me in all of the time I've run races. Registration with Active.com. Registration #R-12XJXC70Initial Complaint

I am writing due to registering for their half marathon race scheduled for December 2022. We were told days before the race it was canceled, and offered options, one being a full refund. I responded to the email, requesting the refund, and have followed up several times with no respond OR refund. It was in the amount of $80. I am writing to ask that this company refund those participants who registered and lost out on lots of money.Initial Complaint

In April of 2022 my husband and I registered for the locomotive race series through Run For It Productions. We spent approximately $200 on race fees. ** 2022 at least two of the races were canceled. We were given a option to have our race fees refunded. We requested the fees be refunded and they never were. We were also told we would be added to the 2023 race line up. The director of the race kept sending emails of how they were planning a new race series. Those series have never been released executed and he has dropped all communication. I have contacted him and active.com for refunds within the last 30 days with no response. If you look on the Run For *********** page you will see this is an issue with many people.Initial Complaint

This company claims to put on running events however it cancels the events at the last minute and refuses to issue refunds. I paid $99.66 on 11/28/22 to run a half marathon on 12/12/22 and then the event was canceled just 4 days before it was supposed to take place. They offered to refund the cost or you could roll your registration over to the rescheduled event in February. I requested a refund and finally got a response after asking multiple times. The response stated they were working on it however I have yet to receive my refund. I have reached out to the email provided to me, the contact ** section on their website and their ******** page to no avail. After viewing their ******** posts, there are many comments of other people stating they have not received their refunds either.Initial Complaint

I registered and paid $80 to run a race, The Locomotive 5k and half marathon,on December 11, 2022 with Run for it Productions. The race was cancelled 2 days prior to the scheduled event. The company emailed and gave the option for a refund in which I elected to do. I have followed through email approximately 10 times with 1 response 2 months later promising a refund. It's been a little over another month with several more follow up emails and no response. This company cancelled most of their races in 2022 with little notice which leads me to believe with all of the planing involved to plan these races, they knew way before hand they would not be able to fulfill their obligations but continued to advertise up to the day before that the race was still going to happen. In viewing the companies ******** page it appears many others are having the same issues with no refund, no promised swag or medals and no responses. What this company is doing looks to me like fraud or a scam. Any help in resolving this matter and would be greatly appreciated. I would also like for other runners to be aware of this as well.Initial Complaint

On August 28, 2022, we purchased 3 race registrations and t-shirts for races planned by this company for December 11, 2022 (Locomotive Half *************** On Dec 7, 2022, less than a week before the race, the organizers sent an email indicating that they would be postponing this race due to a family health crisis. They provided 4 options within the email for what registrants could do - including the 4th option of a refund. The company indicated that participants should select a choice by Dec 18th.On December 11, 2022, I sent an email to the address they asked that messages be sent to *************************** requesting a refund. It is now January 29, 2023, and we have not received a response about our requested refund. We are owed $157.96 from our original August payment due to services never rendered.Initial Complaint

*********************, owner of Run for It Productions, has consistently collected registration funds from runners, promising (medals, awards and refunds to name a few) but has either not delivered what was promised or made continual excuses.I myself am due approximately $300 from **** and have made every attempt to collect.You will see on his website Mutiple races that have been postponed (even though he collected the registration money) and a simple social media search will reveal many people's claims of no medals or items promissed.
