Went to Mavis for the first oil change in my newer (but used) car late March of 2023, when given my car back there was no oil in the car from the change. Unknowing that there was no oil in it, I drove it for a whole day before having my brother look at it due to an oil light continuously flashing on my dash. My brother first noticed a ticking sound coming from my engine, later discovering the dip stick was dry. We then had to purchase oil to put in my car, I contacted the store to inform them of the situation. I was issued a refund for the oil change and also for the oil I had to purchase to put into my car. Immediately after putting oil in, my car was no longer making the ticking sound. However, recently it has begun making the ticking sound it made before. I contacted Mavis's corporate number this morning (7/11/23), only to be sent to the same shop to have them look at my car and tell me that a valve is messed up due to my car's age. My car is a 2015 model that I have only had since September of 2022. The issue with the valve was caused from my engine running with no oil in it, but the manager's working denied that it was their fault and that they would not be paying for any repairs to my engine. I was given a corporate number to call, which I called again after leaving the store. The representatives on the corporate line then tried to reach out to a regional manager for me to speak with but could not reach him. I refuse to pay for any repairs on my car because of their wrongdoing. I have attached screenshots of transactions that were made after the oil change, buying oil for my car, and the refund I was issued.
