Hutchinson Toyota has zero respect for there customers and lie if that is what it takes to get your money. Salesman Christopher W**** brought me a car to test drive that had a dead cat in it with out cleaning the vehicle to get rid of the horrific smell. On another vehicle they told me they could do $490 with 5000 down and when I asked for the confirmation sheet they then said it would be 490 with 6000 down. So do to the lies and issues I got a new sell person named Kenneth E****** I put down a deposit of $500 to hold a vehicle after being assured if I changed my mind I could get my money back no problem. They only had the vehicle off the lot for 1 week out of the 2 1/2 weeks. When I changed my mind I asked for my refund and I was getting the run around when it came to picking up the check for the $500 I had put down. Finally 3 days later the GM states that regardless that his salesman lied and my receipt DOES NOT state non- refundable, I will not get back the $500 dollars paid to hold the vehicle. Even the management allows their employees actions and behaviors and allowing these types of issues to be allowed towards their customers.

My husband and I took my daughter's 2004 Toyota **** because her car jerks when giving gas. We were checking cost of having it repaired. First quote was $5,500. A Diagnostic was done. Cabin filter, air filter, 4 cylinders tune up & coils, Purge Valve, and gas cap were replaced. Informed Brake Actuator Assembly was discontinued. Final cost $1,647.23 (11/2). Daughter drove 12 mi and it overheated. Had no prior thermostat problems. Had to be towed back to repair shop 11/3. Next day called and said, would have to replace engine and gaskets cost would be about $11,000. Went down there again. Said Engine blown, then said probably had cracked head. Then said we could probably get by with replacing the head gasket. The manager said he would keep the cost to a minimum. The next day, we went by again and was told the cost would be $3,500 for head gasket replacement. But with the discount would cost only $2,000 more. It didn't have that problem before they started working on it. Factory said to put 15 lb to test the cooling system so they ran it up to 30 psi before leak was found. When the car was picked up, I checked the oil, and it had no water in it. If it was a gasket, it would have had water in the oil. I believe they blew the head gasket and caused the problem. Daughter only paid $3,000 for car. Daughter drove car home-no problems, but we are having car checked by someone else. We thought they were going to help us and instead cost us unnecessary repairs. We still don't know if problem was solved. I have no respect of this dealership repair department. It has cost us extra time and money.

Customer brought in 2004 Toyota **** with a concern of check engine light on and vehicle running rough. Tech found codes for system random misfire and evap system leak. All codes were current, pending and had history of codes in system. We recommended to customer to start with replacing the coils and plugs for misfire and purge valve for evap codes. After replacing the approved parts, tech then took vehicle on test drive to verify concerns were resolved. Customer came in and took delivery of vehicle and had vehicle towed back in. Vehicle came in with low coolant and over heating. Shop foreman pressured tested the system at 15psi and found no leaks internal or external. Then pressure tested the system to 30 psi and found bubbles in cylinder #2. We advised the customer that its highly likely that the vehicle has a blown head gasket. With 230,000 miles on the vehicle we recommended replacing the engine. However, we did price the cylinder head and gasket out for customer as another option. The retail price of that repair was $3500, we did offer to help the customer with a discount and quoted the customer a price of $2000. The customer acknowledged that they have had the misfire in car fore some time and had many repairs attempted at other repair facilities The dealer has been very fair with customer and discounted the additional repairs needed to help customer. Customer has refused the repair to resolve issue..

Hutchinson Toyota charged me for a ***** Battery in 2020 and installed a aftermarket cheaper battery. My car would not start so I looked at my paperwork to see what my warranty info was and nothing was on my paperwork so I contacted them to see how much warranty was left on my battery. there was nothing in the system and she said that was odd. She asked for my vin number and said they only sold 2 types of batteries that fit my car and my warranty was 60 or 84 months. So I jump took it to Hutchinson. I received a text, it had 350.00 for a battery. I contacted them and the young lady said was that it was not their battery. I explained it was and I had the paperwork to prove. I was told that they sell 2 types of battery that fit my car with either a 60 or 84 months. I asked to speak with a manager and He finally admitted that they actually put an aftermarket part in my car, and it only had a 36 month warranty. I expressed that someone at Toyota fraudulent charged me for an original part. I thought the dealer service department was a reputable establishment. However, I see that they are running scams on women and elderly persons who bring their vehicles in for Service. They refused to make good on the battery that I purchased or paid for in 2020 but did not receive. They scammed me in 2020 and I will not allow them to scam me again. Toyota may have had some service technicians who were stealing in 2020 and based on the fact that they said they don’t sell that battery and I had the paperwork to prove that someone at Toyota placed that battery in my car at Hutchinson and charged me for an original ***** battery is obvious and they should have made good. But they didn’t and I plan on pursuing other actions to make sure that other people know that they are scamming people and charging for original parts and putting in aftermarket or scrap used parts. SHAME ON YOU HUTCHINSON FOR SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEFT.

Spoke to customer to help find a better solution for the warranty expiring on battery. It was agreed upon by customer and service manager to refund the customer the prorated amount of the battery and apply towards the cost of new battery. Check was giving to customer.
