On 10/20/22, I paid Wreck Check (WC) $400 for help getting the *** (diminished market value) for my vehicle.Initially, WC (***** and ******) was engaging and looked to get this settled quickly. They laid out the steps of getting this rectified, which included getting an umpire involved if I didnt agree with the offer. On 11/14/22 ***** let me know that the insurance company came back with an offer of $4,900. I didnt accept it and wanted to get an umpire. Three days later, 11/17/22, WC came back saying the insurance company raised it to $5.500 and ***** said that she spoke with RC (owner) and he recommended I take it because it was more than the repairs. I respectfully declined, as that is NOT what *** means (getting more than repairs). I wanted to get an umpire involved to make sure I get the right ***, as $5,500 is not the ***. On 11/18/22, ***** said she would find an umpire and get back to me. To this day, 12/1/22, I have never heard back from her or anyone from WC.On 11/25/22, I got an email message from my insurer asking me to input my banking details to send the $5,500. I never approved this offer to be accepted. It appears that WC accepted this offer without my consent to finalize the case. This is a gross violation.Ive followed up three times (2x email/ 1x via phone call on 11/30) in the last 5 days. There has been no response. They shouldve never accepted an amount on my behalf, without my consent. My understanding is that WC and team gets a kickback for getting someone to settle for less than the true ***. WC didnt do the full job that they said they the will do. Dont offer services you dont want to provide (UMPIRE). From the complaints on WC, it appears their weakness is in their communication. If you are no longer wanting to represent me, just say so. You have that right. Just have the ***** to say it. Try it the next time you dont want to do something for a customer. Youll earn more respect and business. Do better.

      Good Evening,

We did the right thing for this claim.  They accepted our $5,500 offer which is an incredible offer on such a small damage claim.  This should not even be a complaint.  We got here $5,500 which is much higher then the repair costs.  Instead of a thank you, we get a complaint from the BBB and the customer decided to try to steal our fee from us.  We have contact the proper authorities and have filed theft of service charges against this entitled greedy customer.

      Sincerely,

      *******************

I am rejecting this response because:

Unfortunately, the only thing ** knows to do when confronted with his error is attack, as you can see from any complaint that he gets. If he is concerned about the right thing, then the right thing to do would be to communicate with his clients (not ignore them) and not accept an offer without their permission. That is doing the right thing.

There is nothing greedy with wanting to get the value of something (2022 Lexus). Even WreckCheck themselves provided a report stating the *** was almost $8k, and you expect me to settle for less, when you stated the procedure to do more? If he doesn't want bad reviews then communicate properly AND maturely. You accepted an offer WITHOUT my consent. Doing the right thing is not one sided.

The only greedy party is RJ, accepting kick backs for settling less than ***.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

I am rejecting this response because:

This is not a satisfactory resolution to Wreck Check's ineptness.

However, I'm happy to show any legal and/or govt entity that ineptness.

      Sincerely,

Paid $450 to get correct value of our vehicle. Claim they would have resolved in a month and its been over two months now. I have tried several times to call, leave messages and email just to get an update. I wouldve been satisfied With just a phone call and explanation. I did finally speak to someone a couple of days ago who couldnt help and then asked for a phone call back to see what the delay was and they assured me someone to call me back and no one did.

I reviewed diferentes companies before hire them, I choose them because the offer money back guarantee for they services. The estimated me for a least $4500 the primary asking price for the insurance was $10,300, the insurance offer $2500 and then end to $2900 far from the $4500. The solucion wreck check atlanta offer me was to file a law suit that incurr in more cost plus hire an attorney that was an opcion I had before I hired them the 33% attorney plus court fee, plus $325 they charged me for nothing. Other site do it for a lot less and may have better outcomes.

      Good Afternoon!

Here is a link to our refund page https://wreckcheckatlanta.com/refund-policy.html. ********************* does not qualify for a refund for two reasons:

      1. The final settlement of your diminished value claim must be less than what you paid for your report.
      2. If we recommend that you file a lawsuit to recover your diminished value and you fail to do so, the refund policy does not apply.  (We can help you retain an attorney per your request)

We did advise the customer to file a lawsuit,we offered to help her with attorney selection, and we offered to testify on her behalf all of which she refused.  She could still get the $4,500 but she is at the point where a lawsuit is needed.

      Sincerely,
