*************************** ***************** Specialist) was very unprofessional. When he first arrived he painted a perfect picture of how my repair would go; however, when the crew arrived, it was a different story. When I reached out to ****** about the issues at hand, he continuously talked over me and pawned me off to the Director of Operations (**************), I didrit appreciate ****** not calling me back! I was a paying customer and wanted my opinion heard. ****** neglected that aspect and wanted someone else to deal with the issue. I understand that issues occur; however, l, as the paying customer would appreciate ****** calling and going over the details of the obstacles rather than the crew explaining things haphazardly. ***** followed up with me; however, he was equally unprofessional. He called me to discuss the issues at hand and was EATING whild. on the phone with me. In addition to the nightmare at my own home, I recommended this company to a friend and ****** showed up to her home and was RANTING about the job at my home. How unprofessional? My friend thought that was unprofessional as well and decided to not use them for her repairs. She definitely dodged a bullet. This entire process was a nightmare and if I had to do it over again I would go with a different company. Save your money & have someone else do your foundation repairs.Business response

I hired Atlanta Basement Systems to repair a water leak problem in my finished basement. They fixed the problem in part by installing a sump pump system. To do so, they had to tear out part of an existing wall. They installed the pump directly under the wall, so when they repaired the wall, half of the pump is on one side of the wall and half is exposed in the finished part of the basement. I need to have new flooring put down, but can't since it will cover the pump. I have sent the company pictures and talked to *********** about the issue but they refuse to fix it. I was originally told that they would bump the wall out a foot or two to allow room for the pump. There are several other issues (hole in the ceiling, they put up a wall without installing an existing outlet) that they have agreed to fix, but they refuse to fix the wall issue even though they have seen pictures and have agreed that it is an issue and that I can't put flooring down the way they left it.Business response

I apologize for the inconvenience that we have caused, this is something that we take very seriously and have worked to improve our processes in order to prevent this from happening again. We have since hired a contractor to build out a new wall and reinstall new sheetrock. The contractor is currently working out the scheduling of the work. Work initially performed was good, however they caused a bigger issue and made an existing crack in the floor that didn't have an elevation change to get bigger and have a change in elevation.Business response

On Thursday June 22nd and Friday June 23rd, 2023, *********************** Atlanta Basement Systems encapsulated my crawl space. Before this occurring I was in contact with their contractor *************************** who I informed of my high sensitivity to chemicals.Before the encapsulation I asked ****************** if the materials be a problem for me chemical wise, he assured me it wouldn't.Unfortunately, after the encapsulation, I have been having allgeric reactions including itchy watery eyes, itchy ears, irritated nose and throat along with coughing up phlegm. While the phlegm, itchy eyes and ears clear up as the day goes on, my irritated nose and throat remain.On Saturday June 23, 2023, I contacted ****************** of my allergies to the encapsulation material and told him I would like to discuss solutions to the issue when possible. A once very responsive and engaging ****************** never responded. I called Atlanta Basement Systems that day but didn't get in touch with anyone. On Monday June 26, 2023 an Atlanta Basement Systems employee named ****** got in touch with me. I told of her my issue and notified her I wanted the materials removed. ****** said she would let the managers, **** and ****, know and forward along the information. As of today, Wednesday June 28th, 2023, no one has contacted me regarding removal of the materials. I am continually experiencing allgeric reactions in my own home due to the off gassing of the materials used in my crawl space. The off gassing becomes worse the hotter it gets and temperatures have been in the 90's. I am currently in great discomfort in my place of residence. The company's goal is to create a better breathing environment within the home but unfortunately for me it has made the air quality where I live worse.Business response

I spoke with ****************** regarding her sensitivity to our system and have agreed to remove the system at no cost to her. We are removing the system today, 7/3/23. No money had exchanged hands to this point and the system is currently in the process of being removed.Customer response
