I wish I could leave less than 1 star. Any medical facility who chooses to contract with Datavant is making a very bad decision. This company does a very, very slow job of providing medical records.Review from Nimi P

It has been a horrible experience with Datavant and such a waste of time. They do not appreciate or value customers time. I had submitted a request for records through their process, due to one incorrect data value, they had returned the request via physical mail. I had resubmitted the request with corrected value and almost 5-6 days later again, they send me an email request to confirm my email address.I responded confirming my email address. Then also followed up with a call since now it is a time sensitive request for me, especially since it has been a month since my initial request to datavant for records. When I called them, the customer ************************** specialist tells me that I need a POA in order to receive the medical records.In any of the communication or requirements, there was no mention of a POA to me. They do not understand that these request are time sensitive request and do not value customers time. They have wasted a month of my time and now they mention a requirement of a POA. Horrible service and lack of communication resulting in customers waste of time. I am back to square one again in the process which will take another month for me to get a POA and for them to process the request post submission. Not a *********************Review from Ash D

I wish I could leave a negative review! For the last six and a half years, this company has been the **** of my existence. I have been called EVERY SINGLE DAY for the last three months. This is regarding 70 charts that I have already sent. Mind you, this has happened every single year. Today, I just spoke to someone and she would not let me speak to her supervisor. Last Thursday, I spoke to FOUR people. I run a private practice, plus I work side by side with the doctor. They are rude, call incessantly which ties up our phone lines and then they apparently cannot do their job to even find the records we send. I just put a call in to a supervisor - this is the WORST place ever! If it weren't for the insurance companies requesting records, I would block their number on the office phone. JOKE OF A COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Review from Audrey G

Terrible company to deal with!My health care provider requested my medical records be sent to my travel insurance company via fax as per their Authorization for Use and Disclosure of Medical Information Request Form the fax number was provided to Datavant on 3/11/2024. On 4/22/2024 I called my health care provider to check the status of my request because I had not received a response from the insurance co. The request had been sent to Datavant on 3/11/2024. Called the insurance company they never got the records. Datavant claimed they sent the records on 3/12/2024 per the 1st person I talked to. I even confirmed the fax number. Called Datavant back after calling insurance company again who once again said they didn't get the records. Only to discover Datavant never faxed the documents because they don't "FAX DOCUMENTS". They never notified my health care provider who they got the request from. They faxed a letter to the insurance company stating they need a street address to send the medical records to. I tried to give the customer service ********* the address she wouldn't take it. She said the info had to come from the insurance company. I requested the address be emailed to me thinking it would take no longer than 5 minutes to get to me. Only to discover it could take 24 hrs. I can't believe the incompetence of Datavant. I hate to see what they charge for their service that sucks! 6 weeks and my insurance company does not have the records they need to pay my claim. Does Datavant care of course not because it's not their money. I have to wait for the email sent it to my travel insurance company and they have to send it to Datavant. The health care industry needs to know not to use Datavant! I will definitely let my healthcare provider know of their incompetence.Review from Morgan O

Datavant would get negative ten stars if that were an option. This **** poor company has lost 90 pages worth of my medical and personal information because they dont ship medical records via certified mail. *** had to cancel two appointments because of them because the information that they allegedly sent over a month ago never made it to the destination. When I questioned why they dont send sensitive information via certified mail, I was told we cant. What the actual heck? You are a company that transmits medical datayou CANT send information with tracking on it and require a signature? This is absurdity. I hope this company goes out of business.Review from John T

Received invoice for copy of form I signed when I changed providers. Why would I need a copy?Called customer service, was on hold for a long time and then someone from answered who I could not understand.I hung up.I will not pay the $ 7.84 billed.Review from Jeanette G

I have been overcharged several times for the same client and when I try and get my money back it is like pulling teeth! This company needs to be out of buisness! I show them proof of payment and they still do not release records. They cahrge $22.00 for a medical bill, I did not need records but they still charge like I am asking for records and then they do not even send me anything just keep sending bills! And you can not call, they do not answer and phone calls!!! They people did not l.earn the ******* from 2022!!!! Can someone please investigate them! This company is the worst. It's like a dog chasing it's tail and never getting no where. I have yet to get requested medical records from various requests I have submitted. They return every single one for unreasonable reasons. Don't understand why facilities are paying these idiots.Review from Al B

Absolutely the worst! Every time I log on, my password does not work!!! You wait on hold for over 30 minutes, get transferred several times, nobody calls you back, the website is impossible to navigate, etc. I don't know how they stay in business!Review from Maureen H

This is the WORST company for *********************** request. I specifically requested *********************** for 2020 through 12/2022 for a specific doctor as noted in my comments in the online request . I received everything EXCEPT from this doctor. How is that possible? This doctor left the practice and we needed one outside the practice requesting anything relating to this procedure. July 25, 2023 the *********************** were requested and when I notified them that I was missing *********************** from this doctor they said they'd submit the request and couldn't answer why they were missing. Now. SIX phone calls later to CIOX, the person on the line said I submitted my request in the wrong box even though they could see my comments requesting them. What? If I requested *********************** from date to date, why wasn't this doctor's *********************** in there? The person at CIOX said it was escalated on 8/11, even though I've called six prior times to get the ***********************. Now, with the new doctor's *********** looming, I'm not going to have the necessary information to provide the new doctor. ***************** professionalism, and common sense is dead in this industry. Good luck requesting information. Like the other poster, if I could give them 0 stars, I would.
