I was having a Spinal Stimulator trial performed. I thought everyone involved had a Pre-Certification before the procedure since I was told by each what would be required of me before the procedure and I paid them. I was supposedly told and signed papers just before I the procedure started, that there was a paper in their regarding a 3rd Party Supplier that was not identified before the date of the Procedure. After the procedure I am told I owe this 3rd Party Supplier $4600 for the loan of the Stimulator which was of course returned. I have a serious problem with after the fact charges on a Medical Procedure. Had I been told of this charge I would most likely not have had the procedure performed since I could not come up with that amount of money like I did to cancel the actual installment of the Permanent Stimulator. So now I have a $4600 **** and no relief from my pain of 16 yrs. No Stimulator!!!! This c*** needs to stop especially with the Technology we have today and the ability to tell patients what might be expected of them at the time of a Procedure!!!Business response

We have spoken with the patient and he understood the mishap of the benefits and accepts IPG writing off the patient balance. He also confirmed via phone call that he will call the BBB and remove the complaint. This has been resolved. Please remove the complaint. Thank you.Initial Complaint

IPG has positively reached a resolution in this matter. IPG has confirmed the details around this case and has decided to write off the patient balance. This decision was made due to misinformation to the patient by the physician's office. We have also confirmed with our field team that the facility has been educated about IPG and we have collaborated around education at the physicians level.Customer response
