On April 3rd 2022 I bought myself a king size bed frame from Athens Furniture Store in Athens, GA. I paid $399 plus $31.92 tax equaling $430.92. The business committed to provide me an upholstered metal bed frame however I was given an upholstered wooden bed frame. I want a refund due to the hassle of being provided the wrong equipment, I've spoken with multiple individuals who has refused to give me their full names including the owner's (To which I don't know their first nor last name). I have spoken with **** who was my salesperson and the apparent assistant manager. I have spoken to ******** who is the apparent manager and I have spoken with ******* who is also the apparent manager. When I picked up the item, I refused to sign the paper until I saw what was inside the box however they wouldn't allow me to open it inside the store so I took their word for it and brought it back home. When I discovered it was wooden instead of metal, I've gotten **** on the phone once on April 13th @12:39 PM and each time after they informed me he was too busy, I've told **** that the bed frame given to me was wooden and he agreed. There was a miscommunication on their side so I've requested a refund on April 15th @12:16 PM to which they refused to give me stating "Its Company Policy". I demand a refund because I was brought to believe that I was paying for a metal frame, I only saw the bed online and there was no website description, only default pictures. Therefore they do not have the bed that I want, the bed I've agreed upon was only agreed over because at the time I was aware of it being metal. They deceived me of my funds, I would've never ordered the bed fully knowing it was wooden and I do not appreciate how they have treated me as a customer and do not wish to spend any further time or money at this establishment. On 8/28 my wife and I purchased a mattress set and bed for $1999.62. We were told that this would be delivered on 9/4. Since it was not delivered on 9/4, we went to the store on 9/11 to follow up. On 9/11 we purchased the rest of the bedroom set (dresser, side tables, and mirror) for $2500.01. We were told that the items would be delivered by 9/18. The items were not delivered. We went back to the store consecutively to follow up on the missing items on Saturday's, 9/18, 9/25 and 10/2. We also called to followup and were told that they didn't have the items and were waiting on the purchased items. We were then told that everything would be delivered on 10/9. On 10/9, the items were brought to our home but not what we purchased, therefore, we asked the delivery people to take the items back. The manager called on 10/9 asking why we didn't accept the items and we told him that what was delivered was not was we bought. The manager said he would bring the items. We haven't heard back.Business response
