On 5/4/24 I ordered 5 outdoor chairs from **** Club online totaling $439.79 under order number ***********. On 5/8/24, I received the chairs and one of the 5 was broken upon receipt. On 5/9/24 I completed a survey received from the retailer and informed them of the damage and provided pictures. I heard nothing so today, 5/15/24, I called. I spoke with **** then ***. I was informed their policy is that I must return the item without a refund and, after they inspect the item they will let me know if it is eligible for refund or replacement. I paid them in good faith and only want them to provide me with the item I purchased: a new non-damaged chair. It makes no sense to send two drivers - one to pick up the damaged chair then one to deliver a new chair. They could simply send the new chair and have the same driver take the broken chair. I should not have to be without an item I already paid for. And there is no guarantee the new chair will not be damaged as well. My reference number for the call to the company is 240515-041229. On 8/5/2022 Someone hacked my online ***'s account and bought $440.34 of merchandise. ***'s Club was alerted to this fraud and notified that I was seeking a cancel and refund due to fraud. They stated they would call me back in ***** hours 3 different times. I was never called, they processed the order anyway. And are now refusing to refund me because the order was already shipped. The email I received on 8/12/22 stated, "At this time the order has been processed, and we are unable to cancel the order. The charge for this order cannot be reversed by ***'s Club." they then refunded me only the cost of the item, not the shipping, tax or protection plan. They knowingly shipped goods with stolen funds and refused to do anything about it.
