On may 17, 2023, I became an amputee. (Right leg below the knee). A wheelchair has been my only means of getting about inside my home. In addition of taking care of myself I also the only caregiver to my special needs daughter who relies on me for pretty much everything. The issue is the wheelchair. The right side of the seat tears and this is my ********* since June. It's obvious a different seat is needed. The doctor wrote a new order on Nov 7 explaining the issue and the need. I call care medical several times weekly to no resolve. Im told a seat assessment is necessary but no one will return my call to set this up. I am constantly falling out of my wheelchair and feeling like I'm going to fall. This could be rectified so easily. I'm not asking for an arm or leg. Ha ha. Just the seat to meet my need. Imagine that's your only means of getting about. I have begged these people to no avail. Kinda funny the word care in the name. They could care less!! My brother is currently receiving oxygen from this company and has a order from his doctor for 10 tanks every week. For the past couple of months they have gave him a hard time about ordering his oxygen and stated he has to call every week to make a order for them to make a delivery for that week. Every week they change the details of how the delivery can be. We went from 10 tanks per week, to 6 tanks per week, now to 4 tanks per week. We have called the company numerous times and they just give us a hard time and laugh at us and hang up on us. His portable tank is currently shipped off to be repaired at this time and is the reason why he has 10 tanks per week. Also he goes to dialysis three times a week so has to have those tanks to travel back-and-forth and to his doctors appointments. After my brother kept getting the runaround my dad finally called them and he was promised Friday that they would have a portable concentrator for him by the afternoon. Nothing ever showed. So he called back Monday and they said he would have a order delivered by Tuesday at the latest for all full tanks. That order never showed either. This company thinks its funny that they can play with someones life and have no remorse but whether they need this to live. How can a company have handling a patients needs have costumer service like this? How can they decide what a customer receive when they have an order from the doctor and insurance is paying 100%?
