This apartment property has reviews of ***** infestations from a few years ago on ****** Reviews. When I toured the apartment, the leasing agent and the property management that did my walk through assured me that everything had been resolved. Ive been living there for the past 2 months and can attest that they still have a ***** infestation within the community. The valet trash I pay $25 a month for isn't picked up consistently, and that brings roaches to my front door. They are in my pantry, forcing me to throw food away that I just bought. I keep My apartment clean and never had this issue before. The property is stating that to break my lease, I would have to pay a fine. That is bad business. I would also state that they did business in bad faith, stating that they took care of the ***** problem prior to me moving in. If there is anyway you guys can help, this would be great. Thank you.

Good Morning, ** currently moving out of my unit at an apartment complex you own. Chatsworth Apartments in ******* **. Basically weve had problems since we moved in. From Rats, Ant, Roaches,Discrimination, charging people differently for the same unit (by hundreds) . They barely respond to emails. They lie on the emails. Now they have changed my locks (No marshal has came) . Ive been in communications with them while moving. I had a baby in the middle of me moving. When my family came back to get the remainder of my items THE DOOR WAS LOCKED. The locks were changed. When I called them and asked them and asked. They ignored the question.

The moral of this email that I am conveying is that I should be treated appropriately and professionally when it comes to customer service with ********************* because again, I am paying extreme, large amounts of money in rent every month to be mistreated, its not about the $100.00 violation fee , it's predominately regarding *********************'s behavior about any maintenance and any bug pest control issues, that with bugs especially I should not be faced with, if I am paying $1793.00 a month in rent. ********************* should have handled her attitude better and not allow her emotions and behavior to get caught into what I am concerned about.

This is to shine light on the slumlords of Chatsworth apartments in *******,**. My move in date was May 12th, Upon arriving we notice many issue with the apartment. We worked with ***** who advised she would have the work done over the weekend. Hesitantly we agreed to move in after that however she did not change the move in dates on the lease. Move forward to 5/14/23 we go check the work that was to be done and seen nothing was fixed. ***** decides to not answer any of the calls to us and decided to email us back after the office was closed and no one could get thru. 5/15/23 they somehow make it to cash the cashier check although they knew we didn't want the apartment. 5/16/23 we asked to be switched to different unit or to return the money as we had not moved anything into the unit. 5/17/23 we were told to write down a list that they will have all done for us to finally move in. 5/19/23 we received a email stating the contractors were called and would be in on 5/23/23 to complete all the task. We wanted to give them time so we checked at 8:45 pm. Nothing was done but a switching of the fridge that still had mold in the freezer. holes on the floor, in cabinets, bullet hole in ceiling, bugs everywhere. I've been more patient than ever, I even asked for a new unit to save them the hassle but because she has already used the money they don't want to do their job and fix the issues. this has brought be to seek council from an attorney. When asking for a leasing adjustment such as date change or new unit im being told because the lease was signed its nothing that can be done and its also our fault we didn't move any of our things in because to them its nothing wrong with the unit. pest control hasn't even been out to take care of the bugs and spiders in every corner. No one cleaned the apartment cabinet, fridge or floors. The people here are nothing but scammers. I have a life altering health condition and the mold/midew is sickening.

I was in a domestic violence dispute in august, and as per my lease, I gave a emergency 30 day notice on the 1st of September. I also fell on hard times and I was unable to pay my rent, so I applied and received rental assistance. My complaint is for my recent apartment complex and the manager *****************************. The rental assistance program gave Chatsworth $10,000 to cover my past due balance of around $5,000 and the additional funds to pay for future months.. however, since I had to move for my safety from the domestic dispute. ****** and Chatsworth are running a shady business, because they are trying to hold on to the additional rental assistance money and my deposit that is owed to me. ****** has tried to come up with rental laws that do not make sense, so that she can find a reason to charge me fees to hold on to the money instead of either sending it to my new leasing office or sending it to me via check. For example, I gave my 30 day domestic violence notice on September 1st, with the required police report. ****** said she charged me 2 months rent and took it out of my additional rental assistance money because "I did not meet the 30 days" meaning I left September 23rd and she says I was supposed to live in the apartment until the 30th. I told her that does not make sense and that's not what a 30 day notice means. They also said my deposit was being sent out in the mail, weeks ago and I still have not received that check. I really need the money to cover my bills. I have voice recordings of my conversations with ****** and my proof of her admitting that she did not read the domestic violence section of the lease. Please help me!

Our apartment has been infested with mice (complaint attached); flooded (complaint and pictures attached); water damaged (pictures attached); and reeks of mildew for the past month because this apartment has not been properly dried. Management without our knowledge and we were not sent a way to submit our issues like the water intrusion that occurred in our apartment. This most recent leak lasted for 5 days and it wasn't until I went to the leasing office that I found out we were going under new management and saw there was an email address for the property manager (who said she was never notified of the leak prior to my email. That is also attached). None of this was given out in an email to the tenants regarding emailing the ** or the new management. I called everyday (June 10-June 14) requesting for someone to fix the issue and I was told someone would come out. I have emails as well noting our correspondence. At no time in the first 4 days of the leak did anyone state we were undergoing new management and that there was another way to contact for these type of issues. The first leak occurred around May 1 and they came out but did not dry properly and that is when the smell started. We filed another request when the leak occurred again June 5 from the same issue because clearly they did nothing to fix it properly the first time. Then, while we were still recovering from that leak/flood this most recent one happened starting June 10. This one, because the water set in the carpet for so long, damaged of furniture and warped our door. We were unable to sleep in our bedroom for two nights and had to sleep in a hotel because my fianc has a bad back. Lastly, we have caught around 15 mice and rats in our kitchen and can hear them in the walls and ceiling (complaint attached). This complex lacks effective communication and proper solutions to issues. They keep saying they respond in a "reasonable time". That doesn't matter if the issue doesn't not get resolved.
