On 04/27/2022, A two month lease was signed with The Legacy at Walton Lakes. The lease was set to begin 05/28/2022 and end on 07/27/2022. The lease has expired as of today 07/28/2022. Upon returning my keys I was advised by the office director, *******, that because a physical 60 day notice to vacate was not provided along with a 60 day signed lease, I am responsible to pay 1 and 1/2 month rent, to total almost **** or give a 30 day notice to vacate on an already expired lease and pay August rent and the termination fee can be waived. After signing a two month lease with Walton Lakes on 04/27/2022, this is 30 days before my current lease was due to expire, I received one notice on 05/09/2022 to sign a lease to begin after the 60 day lease that I just signed 12 days prior. No other notices or reminders were sent after 05/09 to review any new lease options for after my current two month lease was set to end on 07/27/2022, not even a 30 day reminder that my lease was scheduled to end. There was obviously a drop in communication, ********** team failed to communicate properly and send proper reminders regarding a lease that was set to end. Today is 07/28/2022 and I still have not received any communication from Walton Lakes regarding a lease removal or that my previous two month lease has expired, I have only obtained this information when calling to schedule a time to turn in my keys.
