Because of Bodyworks Collision Center, not submitting paperwork in a timely matter, and following up with the insurance company, I had to pay an additional $1160.48 for a rental Car In addition to the$2,993.18 paid by my insurance company which covered 30 days of car rental. Body Works gave an estimate of 20 hours needed to repair my vehicle. My vehicle was in the shop from January 29 until March 9, 2024, because of the lackadaisical communication with the insurance company and not sending supplemental paperwork to the correct portal instead of sending it to the adjuster and myself my vehicle was delayed in being repaired therefore body Works collision center should reimburse me for out-of-pocket monies. I had to spend on a rental car. I depended on Body Works collision center to work on my behalf with the insurance company. I am the customer, I have no idea how the relationship between the insurance company and the body shop works. I was originally told that they would be responsible for two days of the rental because of their delays. Unfortunately, when it came time to take care of the two day rental, they reneged after speaking with Allstate, they stand in agreement with me that body Works collision center should be responsible for the rental amount I incurred.Business response

We have no record of this customer and contacted them to get additional information. They live in ********** and stated that this complaint was for a shop they were dealing with in ********** and not our company in Georgia. The did not know why the complaint ended up on our BBB profile, but stated that they would request to remove this complaint as it is not a valid complaint for our company.Initial Complaint

Following a minor accident I scheduled an appointment with Bavarian to drop off my vehicle to them on 3/4/2022 for repair. After about two weeks I decided to check in for an update on the status of the repair. To my surprise no parts had been ordered and no repairs had been completed on my vehicle. After speaking with agents with the company I was told that supplements had not been approved. I contacted ********************* to attempt to resolve this issue. It was clear that a break down in communication had occurred between the shop and my insurance company. I attempted as much as I could to get them on the same page. I have been promised on multiple occasions that my car would be ready by shop representatives (*********************, ************************* and a customer service manager *****). The latest deliver day proposed to me was 5/6 nearly 2 months and 2 days from the day I delivered the car for repair. I was told that the vehicle failed an alignment on 5/3 and that parts had been ordered to repair the car. It seemed odd to me that after 2 months there was not a comprehensive professional report of everything that was wrong with the vehicle and that It would need to fail an alignment to require a repair. I was promised that the parts were ordered and would be here on 5/6. They assured me this would be the final delay and that my car would be delivered to me on 5/6. So today is 5/6 and around 2pm I became concerned because no one had provided me with an update. I called the shop and found the agent I normally speak with was off. The front desk associate put me on a long hold and then advised they were still waiting on parts. I requested to speak with a manager. I was told he was busy. I asked to hold and was denied. I then visited the shop and spoke with *******************. I explained all the delays and asked why no one had contacted me today to tell me it would not be ready. He started to raise his voice and blamed progressive. He showed me my car and there are used parts scratches.Initial Complaint

I drop off my car to get repaired on 10-16-2021 and was told that my car would take 4 weeks to be repaired. At the time I had a rental car coverage for my geico. In November 16th I called and they told me that all the parts are in and that they are currently working on my car and that it would be a another 2 weeks. When I called back in a a week I was told that they have not received so I went down there and they said they found an issue and had to order something. This went on back and Forth into December. 12-12-21 At that point I had to turn my car in because my rental coverage was up, so I had to start covering my rental cost. On 1-6-22 I was told that my car was finished but when arrived to pick it I found many issues and was told that they would be fixed in a in a few weeks. From that point it went back to the back and forth. They keep telling me the car would be ready in a week (this is when I have show up at the show) They have hardly responded to calls and emails. I called on **** and was told someone would get back to me by 2PM the next day and I haven't heard back from anyone. its been 7 months since they have had my car and the damage was to that extent that it would take this long. 4 months since I was told my car was ready and I still don't have it.
