    Pattern of Complaint:

According to information in BBB files, USA CarShip Inc. has a pattern of complaint alleging Contract Issues and Refund or Exchange Issues.

Specifically, consumers are stating they are contracting with USA CarShip Inc. to have their vehicles transported to an agreed upon destination once a deposit has been put down to secure the shipment date and time. Some consumers are saying their shipment date and time passes so they contact USA CarShip, Inc. to inquire of the delay, to be informed that they now need to pay double the contractually agreed upon amount to have the vehicle shipped. Other consumers state they are being contacted prior to their ship date by USA CarShip, Inc. to inform them of the increase in shipment costs and when asked to refund their deposit, the request is being declined or ignored.

On May 5, 2022, BBB contacted USA CarShip Inc. seeking their voluntary cooperation in the elimination of the pattern of complaints.

On October 29, 2022, USA CarShip Inc. responded with the following information as a means to eliminate the pattern:

We are FMCSA registered freight brokers, specialized in arranging third party carriers for Auto Transportation for our customers. At USA Carship we arrange shipments of dozens of vehicles every day. Most of our customers end up very satisfied with our services but there are incidents where despite of all our efforts things don't go as planned.
During this current year, the business model has changed quite a bit and carriers on some dry routes have been asking for more than what we quote our customers - We quote estimated price of shipment using the data in the system on last 5 vehicles shipped on the same route (It is mentioned on the contract sent to the customer and we only start working on the request after the contract is signed). Since, we are brokers and do not have our own trucks, we cannot guarantee price, or an exact pick up or drop off schedules - Even though, we try our best in our capacity to protect our customers' interests when negotiating with the carriers.

At the time of dispatching a carrier for a pick we get confirmation from the customer on the Pick-up time, and final price. (Price for most customers never change but in cases where carriers demand more money, customer is fully informed and prior confirmation from the customers are taken before dispatching and in case of disagreement FULL REFUND IS OFFERED TO THE CUSTOMERS).

Some Steps that we are taking to reduce unhappy customers are stated below:
1: Hiring 24 hours receptionist to entertain customers anytime and scheduling rotating shifts for sales specialist and dispatchers to
increase Operational efficiencies and keep customers updated.
2: we have also decided not to charge anything upfront from customers for dry routes and routes with less driver availability
3: Launching new employee training techniques, programs and workshops on customer service.
4: Increasing compliance department specially to monitor unhappy customer's and report those customers to quality control and assurance department.

Although USA CarShip Inc. agreed to BBB's request in October 2022, consumer complaints continue to allege similar issues. It is the position of BBB that USA CarShip Inc. has failed to eliminate the pattern of complaint. This aspect of the Business Profile will be updated once additional information becomes available.

This company is a fraud. They attempt to put people in extremist by initially giving one price and the day of shipment, doubling the amount that was given in your initial conversation. I was initially quoted 860 total and the day my car was to be picked up and shipped, they doubled the price to 1700 dollars. In addition, they do not hold ship dates. I was told my car would be picked up on 26 August and nothing. They actually stopped responding to my calls and text but lied to my bank once I started a dispute to get my money back ************ were rendered) saying I was called multiple times by the driver. I was never called and the one driver I was in contact with whom was supposedly picking up my car also stopped answering calls and text. I had to use a completely different company being I was flying out of ********** to ******* 27 August. Do Not Use This Company!!!

I recently sold my car online and used USA Carship they quoted me a price of 295 but changed the price right after I signed the contract to $395 then dispatched me to a completely different company which is ************************ and when the driver got there he charged me $400. Also, he told me the car would be transported 8/9/24 before I signed the contract and the date reflects that on the contract then after I signed it he changed the date to 8/12/24. The driver came 8/12/24 When the delivery driver ************************* delivered the vehicle on 8/13/24 he damaged it unloading it from the trailer. I called and spoke to **** 8/13/24 at ************************ to let him know that the vehicle had been damaged and requested their insurance information but he stated since it was a small claim that the driver would be responsible for the damages. He told me to reach back out when I had the estimate. I had also given the buyer the trucking company's information and now they are not responding to our calls or texts now that we have the estimate.

USA Carship quoted us $825 to transport our car from ** to *********- Agreed to pick up the car Aug 14. On July 5, 2024 we signed a contract and paid $150 deposit.Aug 12 I texted to confirm final pick up details. USA Carship (*****) called me back to say they had a few drivers and would get back to me with the final details. By the end of day they called me said that the price was now $1650. Double what they quoted.I refused to pay that and asked for a refund. They said it would cost me $200 to cancel! they refused to transport the car at or near the the agreed price. USA Carship refused to refund.I am stuck with no transport. I leave for ********** in 2 days. When I asked about the price they said "Don't worry." I

I dont expect any kind of refund from unethical businesses. I was quoted a price to ship a small car from ***** to ******** at the rate of 795. 1 hour before pickup USA Carship called and said the new and full price was 1695 and it needed to be paid before the pickup occurred. Since there wasnt anytime to cancel or make other arrangements with all plans we were kinda at their mercy. Beware. As they have no interest in negotiating a lesser price than they demand at that close timing. Its like i told the person i was dealing with, it would be better if they quoted a little high and then offered a discount because at least a good word would be said in favor of them rather than trying to grab every dollar, just grab the ones that make the difference. But i have nothing good to say about their business practices.

So far have been getting rpeated calls back from Carship saying that they have drivers that can deliver, but 1900 due at delivery!!!! I keep giving them a ***** period and ask them to honor their contract but they keep calling me saying that they keep finding drivers, but it's always twice more than agreed. Their English is also not very good, I am afraid I am being scammed. I want my deposit back.

On June 27, 2024, I received a quote from USA Carship, *** for $585 to pick up my car from ***** to *******. ******* claimed and assured me that $585 would be the total cost and I needed to make a deposit of $125 to reserve a driver, which would be deducted from the $585. She also assured me that the car would be picked up either the day of or the next morning and told me that if they couldn't find me a driver by the next morning, they would refund me the deposit if I don't want to wait. On July 1st 2024, she called me and said that she found a driver for $1,150. I declined and asked for a refund because they didn't find a driver for the date they promised and the price jumped more than double the price she assured me was the ****** She told me that the refund was processed and sent me a confirmation email of the refund. On July 3rd 2024, she called me and told me she found a driver that could deliver my car by July 6th for $745. I agreed and asked her to send me the driver's details and insurance info. I called the driver and he told me that the cost is actually $900, NOT $745. I texted ******* and told her what the driver said. She told me that USA Carship would pay the driver $150. I called and told her that I didn't believe that, she hung up on me and refused to answer my calls afterwards. I called the main line and asked to speak to the manager. The manager told me that he would credit $55 if I agree to pay $845. At that point I was over it and agreed. When I spoke to the driver, he said that $900 cash is expected at delivery. I called the crooked manager and he assured me that I only needed to pay $845 and even sent me an email stating only $845 is due to the driver. I called the driver again and he sent me a screenshot of a text from USA Carship, *** stating that $900 is due at delivery. This business needs to be shut down as they're scamming and baiting people with lower prices. I still haven't received the refund and never heard back from the manager.

Incessant calling for a service that I never applied for, all they seem to want is contact information. They cannot even provide me with the information that I supposedly sent them, for the service that I do not even need, or applied for. It seems like a scam for contact information. I called the **************************** **************, and there are no Managers available to talk with. They need to be investigated, this is a front company to scam for contact information.
