I have an account at **********************. I was charged a return item fee on 08/08/2023 for a transaction I assumed posted that day. I contacted the corporate office regarding the transaction and was told the fee was assessed from a charge that occurred on 08/07. I advised the service representative that I'd been to the bank on 08/07 and there were no pending transactions, furthermore, I checked the account balance on 08/08 and there was a positive balance with a deposit, the account did not reflect a negative balance until 08/09. I also advised the teller that the attempted transaction was less than the account balance so there was no way the item should have been returned. I was told to email the operations department for follow up. No one made any attempts to contact me and I was forced to pay the fee. This was after I'd been assessed a fee on 08/01 for a mobile deposit because it took the bank almost 72 hours to process the check. I go through great lengths to do business here. The closest branch is more than 20 minutes away from my house, I cannot zelle from/ to this account, and the *** is constantly broken. There was even a time that I fixed the branch and it was closed due to a power outage. I am tired of being disregarded as a customer and finally decided to make a formal complaint.Initial Complaint

I have had an account for a while but I dont live near a CTB branch. I have been trying to close the account out since January and have the money sent from the account in the form of a check. I have made 4 or 5 calls and the *** keeps telling me that an email has been sent to **** to reactive account and to send funds as requested and close account. I asked for a number to mgmt along with a name. Was given a number but told no specific name available. I call the number given which ends up being the same number I had previously to get the ***. When someone finally picks up the person is laughing, doesnt know the name of the bank and I can hear them being coached by someone in the background. Phone number ************. I dont know if they are being deceptive or what! I just want my money.
