I recently contacted the ********** to inquire on scheduling an appointment for my daughter ***********************. I was informed by the office manager that **** could no longer be seen due to some notes that were left by staff on her chart saying that I cursed at someone at her last visit and had improper behavior.I have some major concerns with this. Firstly, I asked to receive something in writing that explained any procedures in place for terminating patients and it has been over a week and I still have not received anything. My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and it was extremely difficult to find a dentist that would sedate her. My daughter had 3 appointments with DDD and I never had any issues. During her last appointment, I had a disagreement with the discharge nurse regarding releasing her- knowing that I had to drive over an hour to get back home. My daughter was up awake but I was being told to wait longer. I was advised that I could leave if I wanted to, and I did. Now I'm being told that my daughter can no longer be a patient when this was not explained when I was in the office. I have never experienced anything like this where the patient chooses to leave and then is penalized for leaving. It was not like I was leaving against Doctor's orders and I was never contacted to discuss the situation before a decision was made. The office manager provided me with information of another dentist that is even further away from me. However, I would have never imagined that my daughter would be penalized for a decision I made to leave early to take a long ride home. My daughter shouldnt be penalized over a disagreement and its very immature to allow staff to make such decisions.

I had an appointment for dental service for my special needs daughter with DDD Foundation. The appointment was around February 2022. The dentist called in a RX at my local Kroger but due to short staff, the prescription was never filled. I went ahead to the appointment, taking off work. I thought the dentist could give her the sedation shot like they used to, since I couldn't get RX filled. When I got there and was told they couldn't see her because she didn't take the meds. I was frustrated because I took off work. I wasn't loud, I didn't use any profanity but I expressed my frustration. They said they could call in a prescription near them but I couldn't wait because I had to get back to work. So, I called and made another appointment around May 2022 then before the appointment I got a call from the dentist office saying that my daughter can't come back because of my behavior. Which I'm confused about still to this day. I feel this was unfair to my daughter, I even suggested if someone else could bring her and I was told NO. My daughter has been going to DDD since 2010 and never had any issues before. I also noticed that my daughter had a few teeth that were decaying and I was never told this before. I called back in 2023 to ask if my daughter could come back still no. I asked for a referral and was given a dentist way out my area in ******** and they don't take insurance, so I would have to pay out of pocket and the wait list is about a year. So I made an appointment and was finally seen in April 2024 just for an evaluation. Again, the wait list for service is in December 2024 and probably by now it's January 2025 for my daughter to be seen. ****************** I'm sure knows that there is only one other special needs dentist in ************* area.Again, I didn't do anything disrespectful for my daughter to be ban from services. Makes me think there was some other reason. The lady who called me to cancel my appointment seems confused also, when I asked her why.
