I already wrote a review on another site so this will be brief. The customer ********************** was terrible beginning with the fact that no agents on the phone that I connected with spoke English as their first language and were difficult to understand. It took several calls and approximately three hours on the phone over two days (including wait time) to cancel my subscrition. I am in ******.Review from Chris F

I am unable to access credit because it is not possible to obtain my Equifax credit report. They lie when they claim they are addressing this ongoing issue. I have filed a complaint with the cpfb. If this fails I will be consulting a lawyer. This company ruins lives.Review from Jean-Patrick G

Equifax is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with, and it's all made worse by the fact that these people have shackles around the ankles of every american in the form of bogus credit scores. They have all the power. There is no way for me to hold them accountable, and it appears the BBB is in their pocket too, with an A+ rating. I have been on the phone with their infuriating robots for hours, repeatedly entering sensitive information like my social security number, yet they are unable to ever put me in contact with a HUMAN BEING. If I don't get to the bottom of what's happening with my credit score, my life will be ruined. And they could care less. We're living in a fascist dystopia and these shills are a major reason why. I am not allowed to live in a house because this group has decided to s**** my credit without providing any details why, or even putting me in contact with an agent who can explain what happened to my credit score. This organization should be sued to oblivion at least, completely burned to the ground at best. Absolute monsters, shame on every single person and damned robot that works there.Review from Nik A

This company should not be considered a reliable source of credit information. I was told 4 times by customer ********************** that my inquiry would be escalated to a Manager and that I should receive a call back within approx. 2 hours. That never happened even after being asked if I was applying for credit. It is very concerning that Equifax is responsible for the accuracy of reporting credit yet they have no integrity or accountability for following through with their own commitments.I am also interested to know how many customers have spent 20 minutes or more on a call with the foreign call centre providing absolutely every piece of information possible that could allow someone to steal a persons identity only to have the call dropped and no follow up call which requires calling back in and re-sharing all the information with someone else in order to try and resolve any inaccuracies with your credit report. Sketchy company with sketchy customer ********************** and sketchy managers who dont actually follow up, leaving customers hanging without any resolution.Review from Duchess R

I am filing a complaint. I recently talked to a representative, maybe two minutes ago and there is an issue on my credit that they have not taken off. *********** took it off, but Equifax did not take it off. I was told by the gentleman that II am filing a complaint. Very poor with reporting accurate information! Been working on credit report for over a year now with this bureau and nothing resolved!. This company never responds back on how they got their information to report on my credit report. I've even sent proof of my disputes and still nothing! They only send a letter about me going through a third party. Them reporting inaccuracy is hurting my score and delaying me from getting anything! Will seek further action.Review from Mohammad A

Trying to lift credit freeze from my account to open a bank account. The other two credit agencies allowed me to do it via their website, where I have an account setup with them. Equifax on the other has been extremely difficult, first it did not allow me to do it online via my account. Told me to call their customer **********************, who after talking my phone number, email, social security and zip code information could not help either. They forwarded me to their identify verification department. This department is asking me to provide copies on my drivers license and social security card. I am carrying my drivers license with me but not my social security card. I am told that i should call back when i have the documents in possession. the problem is that i am in my office and I will go home in the evening, but by that time Equifax offices will be closed and Tomorrow I have an appointment to open a back account. So i will not be able to lift the freeze and will need to cancel my appointment.Review from Heidi G

My data was stolen in the Equifax breach. I had a seven year fraud alert, but some new activity popped up recently on my credit monitoring (and the fraud alert worked, so I received a call and said it was not me before anything was opened), so I needed to extend it. The lady said they were the victims, implying I was not a victim. I cannot extend the alert without jumping through hoops, including filing a report of the fraud (which cannot happen because I'm still in the fraud alert). I am disabled, do not have the energy to deal with this, and this is causing medical distress. I guess she didn't know what the *** is (not sure if it really applies, but it should). I wish I could get all of my personal information deleted from Equifax! I don't even recall getting anything from their settlement, and they did not provide me with the credit monitoring (I have that elsewhere) as they were required to. I would give them negative stars if I could!Review from Alissa C

Equifax is incorrectly saying my report is frozen or blocked, then when I went to fix it they locked me out from being able to login. I called them on the number it said, and they told me to login through this link. The link said I have no account. So they told me to make an account. It said I cant because I have an existing account. Try to login, and says no account. Grrrr!! They didnt know why and said a tech rep will send me an email in ten days. They said theres no freeze or block, so they dont know why theyre not allowing it to be pulled to buy a house. Shut this place down. If they dont want to be a credit bureau anymore, they dont have to be. Shut them down.
