I received a notification card that either someone have filled a negatives report or have had 8 inquires. Called the number and submitted all of my information. They said it wasn't valid and I'd have to mail in a copy of a current bill, a copy of my Drivers License, and I think a copy of my SS card. I trust none of those to go through the mail. No human to contact to help. Over all a very frustrating experience especially in this day and age.Review from Patricia C

Investigation of dispute I filed was poorly and inaccurately investigated and I retained documentation to prove the errors made by this pro corporate credit reporting agency that discriminates against the victims of corporate greed. I filed two BBB complaints against ******* and disputed a collection agency regarding this same complaint and recieved a favorable outcome after being extorted and threatened by ******* employees. But leave it to the NCT&UE to have a totally biased opinion for the honest consumer. Case had a very incompetent investigator and my Sept email apology from a ******* executive and BBB complaints prove this.Review from Scott P

In my state, by law, they're required to notify me within 12 months whenever they have received a negative report about me and to let me know that I'm entitled to a free report. They did, which is good. However, getting said report is absurd. First, you have to call a phone number. However, the phone number on the card they sent is different from the one on the website they provided (nctue.com/colorado), which is different from the one listed on their Consumers page linked from their homepage. This makes it very difficult to determine the legitimacy of the card I was sent, which is extremely important when you ask for sensitive information.... Which is where they get into more trouble. In order to validate who I am, they ask for my FULL SSN, despite also asking for other information which should absolutely suffice such as my name, the last four digits of an account for a utility I've had in the past, and the most recent amount due on said account. If a scammer were to send a card like this out with a malicious phone number, it would be incredibly easy to steal peoples' identities. This is negligence, pure and simple. If I could provide 0 stars, I would.Review from Todd

Tried to get a security freeze with NCTUE, online as well as via phone. Both said there were issues processing my information. Then they proceed to send you in an endless loop. Phone number says go to website, then the website say call them. Now when you call them you get stuck in an automated response system. I called every number on their website, 5 different numbers, and all do not allow access to a live person or even an option. What kind of company, or credit bureau does not allow the consumer, who's information they broker and make off of to not have access to a live person? Extremely poor service. Now I am left to write them a letter which seems very nefarious since their website and phone services are equally dubious. If I could leave ZERO stars I would.National Consumer Telecom & Utilities Exchange Response

The agent apologized to the consumer for any difficulties he may have experienced. The agent explained there was no data file, therefore a freeze could not be added.Customer Response

I was sent a generic notification indicating that I have negative inquiries reporting to my report. I've never heard of this company but take my personal credit seriously. After calling in, the company asked me to provide every piece of sensitive information (name, DOB, SSN, Address, Address history, cell phone, email address, utilities held for last 10 years)?? A consumer should not have to provide someone they do not know with sensitive information if a company is reaching out to them tp provide feedback on their utilities information. Providing a reference number or some other factor to access the communication would make it feel like you aren't a fraudster seeking my personal information.National Consumer Telecom & Utilities Exchange Response

I appreciate your comment regarding the validity of the business. However, my concerns are ultimately with your business operations. As stated, I received an unsolicited mailer that made it seem like your entity is connected to reporting for my personal credit butea. I was asked to provide all of my personal information and then the representative I spoke to could not tell me what the negative information was or the impact of the negative information. They confirmed that I'll receive additional communication in 7-10 days. This company is not a credit burea agency, I did not ask to receive communication and find the overall lack of information provided or available highly unprofessional after having to provide my personal details to verify my identity. Your representative simply indicated it was all required and then told me I would need to wait further confirmation. Can you not see how this appears fraudulent in today's environment? There isn't away to login to an online portal securely, nor escalate concerns to management. Please remove me from all unsolicited communication in the future.National Consumer Telecom & Utilities Exchange Response
