This place has horrible customer service I have been charged for a service that I canceled two months ago yet I am still getting charged and phone calls saying that I owe them money. I called customer service and theyre telling me that my account Was canceled, but nobody ever sent me a confirmation. So now Im stuck paying extra fees on top of the bill that I shouldnt be responsible for. Their customer service line is constantly down. Their website is constantly out of service. Absolutely horrible company to work with do not recommend.Review from Alicia D

Zero stars! I wish I had the option to join an EMC! I dont understand how you could give Georgia Power a A+ rating! Every complaint of price gouging is correct! I literally sit in this house hot as ever afraid to put my air on anything lower than 78 knowing they will hike your bill! There can be outages but no change or decrease in usage. The do this because there is no recourse against them! Yet increases are consistently approved!Review from Jasmine B

This company is the worst. I am in a situation to where the money I have been paying towards my account is not being credited and the supervisor is telling me basically that I am lying. What type of customer service? Another rep I talked to the day prior said she does see where my money is not being credited. The supervisor is on the phone telling me she does see what I see but there is nothing wrong with my account. I need some one higher than a supervisor to investigate this. My electrician has confirmed that the main power source is not getting power from GA Powers meter. I have called their customer service for an emergency outage as it was after hours, 90 degrees, and no one showed up. Called multiple times with the same issue. The customer service team either didnt put in the ticket or the tech person never came out even though they said they would. This has gone on for two days with no resolve. It seems like the customer care support team has no way of communicating with the tech team.Georgia Power Company Response

They verified your meter reading and found that the inside main breaker in your home was in the off position. The meter is functioning correctly and there is power at this location.

I called on 05/22 in hopes of getting helpful information and assistance regarding possibly putting the light bill in my name for proof of residence. The representative ********* was very rude and combative towards me. I was extremely dissatisfied with this rep, nothing I called to get help with was addressed or resolved. My time was wasted, I had to deal with her bothered attitude, she was listening to respond rather than listening to understand. I requested to speak with a supervisor that same day, unfortunately as of 06/12 no one has even reached out to follow up or even address my concerns. Now it seems to make sense why that rep was comfortable with the discourteous service she provided because clearly GA Power allow their employees to conduct such behavior. The fact I couldnt even get a supervisor to follow up says a lot. OVERALL JUST UNACCEPTABLEReview from Beverly T

Not happy. I need to do auto pay from my checking account because I'm out of town 5 days a week getting radiation for stage 4 cancer.Spent over 5 hours on phone trying to work it out with different reps.I've used them since I bought my home in 1993. I've changed my log in info at least once during this time. They tell me that there's nothing that they can do to help. I cannot sign in online and must call them every month to do online pay. I'm getting BRAIN radiation. I will never be able to remember to do this. Any ideas? Can anyone help me!I've never been late on a payment. Please help me.Review from Kiaira H

This company is terrible. My power has been out SIX times 4/3. No one can explain why and no one has a definite answer to why this keeps happening. I work from home, so this is affecting my livelihood and my job! Its a shame that I have to keep going through this. Im not sure why my area keeps experiencing power outages. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They clearly dont care about the wellbeing of their customers.Review from Richard J

Terrible company. Everyone tells you a different story when you ask for information. They unnecessarily cut my power line with bolt cutters without even telling me. What an insane thing to do! The power line was nowhere near the ground or in any way dangerous. The supervisor of the engineers for canton is an embarrassment to the company. Actually told me "I don't have time for this" after I voiced my concerns with him. I'm a loyal paying customer who was left without ********************** for 6 DAYS and you tell me you don't have time to listen to me?? He also had no idea what the situation was and I could not figure out who even made the call to snip my power line. Some guys from out of state just drove to my house and cut it no warning. This company seriously needs to be looked into for their unethical practices. They still charged me even after removing my bank account information and I even had gone ahead and paid off the balance ahead of time. So, they charged me twice! Imagine the trouble that would have cost me if I didn't have the money to cover it! Now, they sent me mail saying I owe them $30 because I disputed the charge and asked for the money back! I never received the check either so that is why I went ahead and disputed it. At this point they should be paying me for dealing with this! This is so difficult for me to deal with since I have crippling depression and it really makes me suicidal honestly. I can not believe how awful this is having to deal with and how immoral this company is and I wonder how they are able to get away with this honestly.Review from SS S

Worst company ever ...no customer support exist for property managers or no one responds to online requests causes in delay of the starting service to several weeks.
