I was given a semi-private room and several times spoke to staff and doctors requesting a private room. I believe that the hospital staff was lazy and could not be bothered with changing the room. While in the semi-private room, the money ($75.00) from my wallet was stolen. I believe the thief was the other person in the semi-private room. I used my own prescription drugs, since the hospital did not provide any of my prescription drugs to me. Shame on Kennestone Hospital.I am not diabetic, but Kennestone Hospital wanted to do glucose checks (finger sticks), 5 times a day. What is the purpose of this, increased revenue for the hospital?

In an obvious case of a care coordinator getting kickbacks from a rehab facility, kennestone staff refuses to investigate. My dad was put on the residents hallway in green tower. Residents acted annoyed they had to call and give me an update daily (dad has moderate dementia). Nurses were competent but dont dare ask questions, they get totally annoyed with any requests of information. Most acted like let me do my job and leave me alone. Care partners who were supposed to be getting my dad up and moving, and keeping him clean did not. One nurse and one doctor did respond and help when asked, because I knew more was wrong with dad than the uti and sepsis he came in with - he got the flu there in the hospital. Took lots of work for me to get a flu test and meds started so he could begin actually mending.

Not quality service for women of color! I was in a room with another woman and we were treated extremely different. I asked the nurse several times for meds, meals, doctor follow up and was completely ignored while my neighbor could say the exact same thing and it was immediately taken care of. I even asked for the charge nurse to file a complaint and the nurse said she apologized for my treatment and they would look into it but over the 5 days I was there it was the same..I honestly couldn't recommend this hospital for women of color!!

The worse place for medical service. Even if you have orders from a wellstar doctor they refuse to respect doctors orders and refuse to treat you and follow orders. The emergency staff are rude jokes. Doctors not humble and rude. Save yourself the 5 to 8 hour wait and go anyplace else. Would not have given 1 star but you have to put something.

The nurse assigned to our room could not care any less about us. My wife's epidural and IV ran out at roughly 9AM - over 6 hours before the delivery of our child. We asked REPEATEDLY for this to be fixed, with our nurse responding that she would take care of it - usually after an hour of waiting. 6 hours later, and my wife could move her legs and feel her contractions. Still no refills on the epidural or IV. Even asking for water was too much to ask for, because our nurse simply would not show up.When our baby girl was born, her temperature was incredibly high. She was placed in the area where she would be weighed - but alarms and bells were going off because of her temperature, her 250+ heart rate, and her severely low oxygenation%. Our nurse called for help, but with zero sense of urgency. While the alarms are going off (you would literally hear "WARNING" being blared), she was making multiple phone calls because no one would come down. "Um, I need help in Room ###. Can you help?" This is how it went for several minutes, but everyone was "too busy". Finally someone from the **** appeared, checked a few things, and then left because - and I quote - "she had a meeting". Our nurse told us that the person we waited for HAD A MEETING, all while alarms are still going off. My wife is crying. Our baby girl could be suffering. Our nurse gets on the phone yet again and more people show up but instead of helping our daughter... THEY ALL START FIGHTING. Pointing fingers about why **** wasn't in the room, yelling at the nurse because they assumed she didn't ask for help, etc. Not a single **** person in the room was trying to help our baby girl because they would rather bicker like high school girls. Eventually, our daughters vitals leveled out on its own - no help from the nurses because they were fighting the entire time. I didn't see them do a single thing other than hook our daughter up to monitors. If this was life threatening, OUR DAUGHTER WOULD BE DEAD.

This the worst hospital ever!!! Charging for parking should be a crime. I have been visiting my sister who is currently in the **** We are there from 9am to 9pm have NEVER seen a doctor. At this point I am not even sure they have doctors. Yesterday I was told she was going to hospice because they can not do anything for her. The same day I get a call saying she is going to PT rehab. Also later the same night they said she is doing good and going to a regular room. What kind of s*** show are you running?? I am going to contact a lawyer because what they are doing is unethical. I wish I didn't have to give them 1 star because they are not worthy.Kennestone you suck!!!

We had the worst experience in the green tower ever anywhere. Hospitalist dr's are substandard in my opinion. The dr's cut his regular medications and caused much stress, pain and anxiety. Terrible food. Difficult and expensive parking. Never leave a loved one alone if at all possible. The nurses are overworked and do only the bare minimum.

The inmates are in charge of the asylum, most of the staff in the post surgical wing are the worst, no bedside manners whatsoever even the food service personnel are rude and disrespectful.

I am writing to report the unprofessional and disrespectful behaviors of Dr. ********************* (Gynecologist/Oncologist) at Wellstar Hospital, Kennestone.I underwent extensive burdensome Cardiac Thoracic Surgery on 03/21/2023. I had two tumors removed during surgery and sent to the pathology. On day three after surgery (Friday 03/24), the Oncology PA notified me that, based on the pathology report, I needed chemotherapy as an outpatient treatment. My mind was overwhelmed by my health status, future, my children, and many others. While I was shocked by this horrible news and still was experiencing severe post-operation pain due to a vast surgical incision and having four chest tubes, ********************* entered the room. She even did not introduce herself. She was careless about my situation and my feeling. In a so very inappropriate and disrespectful way, without discussing anything about my condition or any consideration, she told me that "Im not going to live that much, maybe tomorrow maybe next month I will be die, and she said chemotherapy is just buying time, and in my case it does not worth. Suddenly, I became so nervous my body started shaking, and my heart rate went up to 140. My heart started racing, and I felt that my heart could stop at that moment. I could not want to hear anything, just holding my ears and asking her to leave my room many times. Then my dayshift nurse brought me medication to treat my elevated heart rate. I could even die or face a heart attack only three days after my extensive surgery. My whole body still shakes when I remember that moment.
