      My in-laws came to ******* area to visit us. We called before coming over to hotel for handicap room. We were told they have one available. We made sure to ask if you can roll into the shower they said yes. Well, we got to the room, and it had bathtub and kids' height toilet also no bars on the side of the toilet only on the back of the toilet. I cannot believe the staff did not even know what rooms have what in them. Also, most of the staff was just hanging out and having good time talking to each other than working. I cannot believe how bad the rooms were for handicap person.

      *************************************** at University, an *** Hotel Holiday Inn **************** ****************************, an *** Hotel Please be cautious to avoid an experience like ours.We called the Holiday Inn Express at (number found on ******* to book a room. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed us that no reservation had been made and that the hotel was fully booked. We are two parents with an 8-year-old child and a 2-year-old baby.After standing outside for 45 minutes calling the reservation line, we discovered that our reservation had been made at a different hotel, ********************************* at **********, without our knowledge. When we arrived at *****************, the first impression was terrible: the hotel was rundown, and the reception area smelled like sewage.I spent another 1 hour and 40 minutes on the phone with the reservation line trying to resolve the issue, only to be told that we needed to deal with the hotel directly. When I returned to the hotel, the receptionist was speaking with the *** representative and the Candlewood Suites manager. As I began explaining our situation, the manager started screaming at me, saying she didnt care about my story and that I needed to pay a cancellation fee. Despite explaining that it wasnt our fault, she continued to yell and create a hostile environment.Feeling unsafe, I asked the receptionist to do her best to resolve the issue. She mentioned a possible $50 fee, which I agreed to just to leave. We ended up spending the entire day on the streets and had to find another hotel in the middle of the night.Two days later, I saw a charge for the full amount. After spending another 2 hours on the phone with ***, no one could help. I ended up paying for ***s mistake, and there was no one to talk to for resolution.Please be very careful and avoid becoming a victim like us!

      My spouse only stayed here for one night on July 31st. He checked out on August 1st . Now this hotel is charging him for 2 nights stay plus a pending charge for August 3rd. How dare you over charge him. He came down for a memorial service for his nephew. Its not easy to get by on our income as it is. What youre doing is disrespectful and dishonest! Never again will my family stay here!

      Very rude desk clerk .I had previously stayed at *** location in ********** a holiday in express so much I made another reservation on Expedia.com and went back. I went back on June 30 2024 and when I tried to check in and this was around 730 pm one of the lady desk clerks saw my reservation and was having trouble checking me in so she brought who I assume was her supervisor put and the supervisor said their is a note in the system not to check me in. The supervisor said there is no indication as to why I was being refused service and followed that statement we with I couldn't check you in if I wanted to Nice huh . Nice way to talk to a senior. The other clerk was apologizing saying she was sorry. Definitely a training opportunity. I was told to call July 1st and talk to ***************** about getting a refund.Our course when I called the next day **** was conveniently in a meeting but the lady who answered the phone was the same one who said to call and ask for **** processed my refund. If you are being refused service you should be given a reason why correct? **** knew I would ask the reason that is why she ducked my calls. I was told she is the General Manager. Discrimination against the elderly. I think time to see what my lawyer has to say

      I would like you to know I have never felt more insulted and discriminated against in my life than what happened this morning while at breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express - Mesquite , ***** I-635, ******************. M E S Q U I T E , T X I was fixing my breakfast at the buffet , when the breakfast staff lady approached me and my guests and started to asking what room # we was in and saying it was only 1 plate per person. I went and talked to the front desk clerk , ********, and he stated that it was his bad he was watching me on the hotel camera place a breakfast items in my bag and thought I was a stranger on the street that will walk out with the breakfast. In response I asked him if he saw me walk off the street he said no. I asked him was it because I was black and he simply laughed. He told me it was him who sent the lady over to confront us. As I sat down there and ate I never saw him or her approach any of the other guests. I feel that I was discriminated against. And all he could say was my bad.His name was ******** and the staff breakfast lady he did not give her name. The general manager name was ************************** and she was not on duty at the time.After my family and I left for church on return we could not access our hotel room, when I went back down to the front desk the same clerk ******** told me that I can't be getting that much food and using a bag to take it to my room, instead of addressing the issue with the card. When he gave me the cards back he told me and my family that we have 1 hr to get our stuff and leave the hotel.I have file a complaint with the hotel and email the ** directly.

      If you're looking for a hotel that will make you question your faith in humanity, look no further than Holiday Inn Express *********. My experience trying to book a room block for my wedding was nothing short of infuriating.Let me break down this nightmare for you:1 The Silent Treatment: I reached out about a room block and was told to email the sales manager, B. One week passed. Nothing. Two weeks. Crickets. This silent treatment lasted for THREE WHOLE MONTHS.2 The Phantom Manager: I called FOUR TIMES over two months, leaving my contact info (phone number and email ) each time. You'd think I was trying to reach the dead for all the response I got.3 **************** Runaround: When I finally contacted customer service, they had the audacity to tell me the sales manager would reach out "when the time is appropriate." Apparently, three months isn't appropriate enough.4 The Attitude-Filled Callback: When B finally called, it wasn't to help. Oh no, it was to argue and attitude. He informed me rooms were full at "premium pricing" and berated me for daring to contact customer service.5 The Blacklist: As if this wasn't enough, they put me on a "Do Not Rent" list. That's right, they punished ME for their incompetence.6 Corporate Silence: I've reached out to corporate and higher management. Surprise, surprise - I'm still waiting for a response.The sales manager's behavior reeks of spite and malice. This isn't just bad service; it's a deliberate attack on customers. It's clear that ********************** Express Monroe NC sees wedding planners as annoying insects to be swatted away rather than valued customers. This conflict could have been resolved if the manger would have followed up with me, within those three months. In conclusion, if you enjoy being ignored, belittled, and then blacklisted, by all means, try to book with Holiday Inn Express *********. For everyone else with a shred of self-respect, run far, far away. You'd get better customer service from a brick wall.

      I called their reservations to make a change to a reservation at a Holiday Inn. I was only inquiring about the change. If I could not make the change without being charged, I wasn't going to make the change. I was booked for a Friday and a Saturday, and I was inquiring about only coming for Saturday due to a change in my daughter's tournament schedule. They said what they could do was refund me for Friday after the stay. I agreed with that and confirmed multiple times that it was noted in my account and the ********************** was aware. I was told it was and everything was all set. I was charged for both nights and there is conveniently no record of my call or that agreement. The calls are supposedly recorded, but they conveniently can't go back and listen to that call. They are dishonest. If you call for any reason get every name of every person you talk to! They don't like to tell the truth.

      Its a scam because they hide their no refund policy. I called with a medical emergency to cancel and the woman said to call back in an hour to speak to her manage. She then tried to sell me another promotion.
