Our property was stolen from our locked hotel room while we were out. We checked in to this hotel March 12th and checked out the 16th. The shower drain was backed up and had standing water so I requested to switch rooms on the 14th. Upon gathering our things I noticed a small bag with my valuables that I had the morning before was nowhere to be found. We searched every crevice of our room, luggage, and vehicle a minimum of 5 times. I can say with 100% certainty that the bag was not taken out of the room at any point in time by me or my family. So the only explanation possible is that someone else took it. We immediately reported it to the front desk and General Manager *******************************, who told us that housekeeping does not go into the rooms during guest stays due to COVID. We asked that he check the camera footage, to which he responded that they do not have cameras outside of the hotel lobby. We told him we can see the camera close to our rooms entrance. He then said he would check the footage and get back to us that day but that it would take some time to get through the footage. It is now the 19th and we have yet to see or hear from the ** since the day we reported the incident, after repeated, daily attempts to reach him in person and over the phone. Were currently awaiting our case to be processed by APD, since it seems no resolution will come from trying to resolve this issue with the hotel. I have no doubt that an employee entered our room when we were out and stole from us. And the ** of the property who has access to camera footage that can help us, wont.
