On Saturday, May 14th, Zeus Movers were contracted to provide moving services and the movers arrived late which started the clock ticking for the moving time. The movers damaged my dresser in two different areas to a dresser that was fairly new and when my mother contacted the owner to advise of the damages, he stated he would rectify the situation but never contacted me or her to discuss how to rectify the situation. The movers also took an hour additional time to arrive to the move to location so that they could rack up additional charges as this put them over the 2 hour timeframe to move 3 items. The location that i moved to was only 20 minutes away and they took an additional 45 minutes to arrive so they could charge additional time. My mother used them before and they provided a great service to her so i felt i would get a similar service but this is not the case.Business response

So the first issue arose with the client when ************ (the daughter) submitted a quote request and assumed that this was all that was needed to book the move. Our booking process requires a deposit as well as a quote prior to booking. None of those things happened. They initially still sort of had a displeasure with us upon learning they didnt have an appointment booked. I ******* then made arrangements to get them moved that day. The movers did not begin billing until they arrived on site at 4:40 and the move was completed at around 7:20 just shy of 3 hours. The mentioning of 3 pieces of furniture is inaccurate there were additional pieces as well as boxes. Additionally this client is on a 3rd floor. The **** hours that was billed is fairly consistent with that moving scenario moving roughly 20 total pieces from a 3rd floor to a truck (boxes and misc items included) actually was pretty fast considering on a day with no traffic the Ride in a regular passenger vehicle takes 30 mins. In a moving truck we cant drive the same speed as a passenger vehicle because we have cargo that can become broken easily hitting potholes or hard braking. So in first addressing those issues stated by the client are completely false the travel time was consistent with a large truck traveling with cargo on board in between points and she was not billed for any additional time. Also the inventory the client is mentioning in the complaint is false and misleading and does not accurately represent the inventory actually taken. Lastly i was noticed of damages and had taken the proper steps to assess the situation and sent in a damage claim form. I was not aware however that our phone system was having issues and once i learned that messages and calls were not being received it was difficult to account at what point the issue started so i was not able to follow up immediately with her in regards to her claim. I will post the link here so that it may be submitted and she can resolve that claim and begin that claim process. Our claims can take up to 90 days to assess, process and pay out. As stated in the terms and conditions. So we are at this present point apologetic for any damages that arose out of use of our service and are more than willing to resolve those issues. Im regards to billing that issue is unfounded and there is no evidence to support the claim based on the information submitted and travel time which Ive attatched proof of the time billed, travel time, as well as proof of submission. ************ may submit the claim here and we will begin the claims process as soon as its received as we do apologize for any delay.
